Wrong. It’s all on the video - was duck tape when first invented but becam duct tape later on.

Good little video that. But it's a real shame that they allowed the reverse etymology to creep in even after explaining why its proper name is duck tape.

I prefer "The Tape Which Shall Not Be Named", as in:

"Hand me The Tape Which Shall Not Be Named, young fellow my lad. This radiator has sprung a leak since I botched that DIY flushing job on Saturday night."
