Cliff Myers RIP

I just heard from a mutual friend that another of our old players passed away this morning. Cliff played several games for Charlton in the mid-sixties, before a spell with Brentford and then many years with Yeovil. I am sure that there are people here who will remember him. Another good man leaves us.

RIP. I vaguely remember him, not good enough to be a first team regular, but never let us down when picked.0

Cliff Myers played just the 18 games for Charlton at the beginning of his career scoring 2 goals but did play just under a 100 games for Torquay which his son emulated later But the main part of his time was spent at Non League Yeovil where he played 328 matches with 49 goals.

I certainly remember Cliff.

I was in his bar in Lindos, Rhodes a few years back (2015), met his wife and had a good chat about his time at Charlton. He kept lots of memorabilia on the walls which was all very interesting.
R.I.P. and sincere condolences to his family and friends.4 -

I remember Cliff Myers - never held a regular first team place but never let the team down. I am pretty sure I was behind a goal when he scored in off the post v QPR when they had Rodney Marsh & co. I may be wrong; I am others will correct if I am.

I remember Cliff Myers.
He was a colt (academy player to the youngsters) and one of many from around 1963 to about 1968 to come through and play first team league football either with us or elsewhere.

His Bar in Lindos was called "The Sunburnt Arms" .... so Cliff had a sense of humour about him too

Just looking at Wiki. Didn't know his son was also a pro and his grandson is on Fleetwoods books.

Remember the name and can vaguely picture him.
Would I be right in thinking he deputised when Lenny Glover was absent/injured?
