Running through a number of games, trying to find some sparkles in the dirt.  And can't help the inner voice beginning to hum "Dennis, in the last minute, Dennis, in the last minute..."

IIRC he was absolutely awful that day until the 94th minute!

    A hard question.

A recent (ish) example is Reading away in November 2014 when we won 1-0. Chris Solly was superb defensively that day and his cross led to a clinical finish from Igor Vetokele.

At that moment I thought we were going places but that proved to be the pinnacle that season sadly.

(Someone's going to look back and discover that I only gave Solly 6)

Parker v Chelsea Boxing Day 2003.

Start of our decline arguably as Chelsea stole him the following month.

    A shocking game of football.

Deano saving the penalty then Rommedahl banging it in.  The most mental celebrations ever, aside from relegating the pricks 5 months later.

It was not a bad night out after the game either!
  • In recent years, Fosu away at Fleetwood when he got his hat-trick.

Darren Randolph away to Liverpool, our final game in the Premier League.  Real waste that we let him go so easily.

Leaburn at home to Ipswich. First home appearances of the season, he'd been left out for the first few months because of the amount of stick he'd been getting from the booboys. Set up the first 2, scored the third, superb throughout.
  • Leaburn's hattrick at Portman Road was worth an 11 from me.

Parker in our 4-2 Boxing Day win v Chelsea, ultimately both Lampard and Makelele both substituted and the bid followed

Parker away at Wolves in about 03; might sound ridiculous as he was sent off but I remember an old Paul Ince chasing after him for most of the game and not getting close.

Mark Fish had a colossal game away at Everton that season.

    Kiely away at Birmingham
  • Deano at Birmingham may just be the best individual Charlton performance I've seen outside of Super Clive.

Shirtliff in the play-off replay at St Andrews.  If that's not a 10, then nothing is.

    Could have had more.
  • Paul Mortimer in the 2-0 win at the toolbox, 5 December 1995.
Different class to everyone on the pitch that snowy night.
  • One of my earliest football memories was Kish keeping Ronaldo quiet when we played united.

There was a fair amount of shin kicking involved though.

My memory is poor but 10/10 who made Sam Hyypia lose his rag under the Covered End when we were winning 2-0 against Liverpool.
    Hermam ?

Ronaldo did more step overs than Michael Flatley that day.

    I echo the Parker ones.

Dont think Southampton away has been mentioned. We ended up losing but never should have. Parker helped set up 3/4 decent chances and scored 2 blinders

Kinsella, Parker, Kish v Chelsea at SB when Bartlett scored the only goal.
