We haven't really had a serious blip or wobble until now. We have usually been pretty good at bouncing back this season. Everyone goes through a wobble in the season. Look at that run in the Powell 2012 title season. Around March time we lost 3 out of 5 five games. But we came through. Pompey are certainly having one at the moment. I still think despite losing Karlan and a probable up coming 2 game suspntion for Lyle, I think we have enough to come through this blip and wobble to sucure a play-off spot. Of course there is then how we get in in the play-off lottery. Will last season experience help us more this time? Who knows?
Is top 2 out of the question now? Well I think Luton are now looking like Champions elect and Barnsley are looking red hot in second. I think based on that it might even be difficult for draw specialists Sunderland and seemingy stuttering Pompey to haul themselves there considering how good that top 2 are looking right now.
It's just about stay cool and calm at this time of the season. Being able to turn a draw into a win or defeat into a draw if not a win. Maybe a season or two ago we might have lost these two home games. We might not have beaten Accrington.
There is still over a quarter of the season to go and in the last quarter last season we went on a good run and I think there is enogh spirit on the pitch to get another one again this year.

I admire your optimism but i think it's detached from reality.
This is my worry. The goals have dried up (which comes as no surprise when you sell one of your main strikers and don't replace him) and also teams have also sussed our playing style.
This is a big wobble that needs to be sorted as soon as possible, if we are to finish strongly and in that top six.
Bring in a free agent striker or we're screwed.
I know the starting eleven has been disrupted time & time again due to injuries and suspensions, with Bauer & Bielik's coming back to back and overlapping with Lyle's "gardening leave".
And of course, Karlan's departure with no like for like incoming thanks to the Rat, hit us harder than some believed it would.
If ever it was time for some, who shall be nameless, to step up to the plate, it's now.....with knobs on.
IMO, it's time for Pratley to return to the battlefield to lend some strength as well as height to the midfield ....but it's time for the regulars in the side to pull out all the stops & to help their "fringe" team mates, such as young George and Anfernee to do the same.
Every game from now on in should be viewed a Cup Final, and with only one more midweek fixture remaining, ALL the lads should be able to give 100% every Saturday.
In Bow & JJ we trust but maybe it's time for Plan B, formation wise, from the off ?
OK . Just random thoughts from one of the faithful who honestly doesn't have the answer or even the right question as to what we might do to turn things around on the pitch.
I think we all know that SOMETHING has got to change to shake up this squad ....
....and it's got to start on Saturday.
The Fanackapans won't be at the match so we'll be relying on those hardy souls, equipped with their boxes & periscopes, to raise the away end roof with noise like the Wombles have never before heard.
The promotion push starts here !
So is it a blip or a wobble from the play-off chasers?
“I can understand why people are saying that,” said Bowyer. “Because we ain’t won in four. But, for me, you can swing it around.
“We’ve lost one in four. On Saturday we created enough chances to win the game. For three of those four matches we didn’t have Lyle [Taylor] – and Karlan [Grant] left.
“I don’t think there is too much wrong. Saturday was a difficult game. They just came and made it difficult for us. We were the much better side and dominated the second half.
“They were diving in front of however many balls. I’m not going to criticise anybody, because the lads gave their all and it wasn’t a bad day. Okay, we didn’t get the result we wanted but the fans appreciated the effort everyone put in.
“It was disappointing, because we didn’t get the points we expected to get.”

We will fall away now and at best scrape 6th.
We'll get double dicked in the playoffs just like last season.
