Also, thanks @ross1 superb updates as always and really appreciated for those with no stream or access to Soccer Saturday (Although doubtful they go to our games very often these days).5

Really needed that win! Fingers crossed it’s a bit of momentum now as we approach the home straight. Really pleased for Sarr and the cult figure he’s becoming. Have a feeling he could nick Poty if he carries on like this2

Big big win , in the context of where our season was heading .
Now it’s play offs guaranteed and we just need to keep a nice momentum and get that Vetokele back who first joined us and the chances of being play off winners will increase dramatically.8 -
PWR.
Watched on LT's silent, grainy freeze/unfreeze stream which actually I thought was marvellous.
Don't blame it on the sunshine, blame it on the Naby.
Maybe I got obsessed with it but the low winter sun was working against us first half, and for us second. I don't have a crystal clear idea about Wimbledon's goal and our winner, but they both seemed like a scrambled situation in the sunshine sweet spot.
Having said that, for all Wimbledon's eagerness, and goal first half, we weren't dominated and Taylor should have scored with a great chance, and we had plenty of approach play. Second half was like the Alamo for them, and if it wasn't sunshine that helped us it was certainly willpower and no little skill, and also willingness to compete as much as them and we simply had the better players.
I don't know the general opinion about Taylor's performance but I liked it. He is a pain left right and centre, but always a threat, and he distracts so much he allows teammates to get plenty of ball relatively unchallenged. For me Taylor is a good today.
Bowyer got sent off for being gobby twice when he really should have let it go, it wasn't a disputed goal or penalty he was going on about, and ultimately Solly can sort his own problems, Solly himself is no mug or shrinking violet. Still Jacko made good substitutions, theirs had no effect whatsoever, ours upped the second half pressure to eleven.
For the players, a natty cap worn by Dillon, don't know if he was culpable for their goal, I don't think so, and otherwise he played very well especially in his general match and team awareness.
Solly and Purrington were very decent averages, Bauer strong and dominant, and Naby. Got booked, looked a colossus, and scored!
The screen made Naby's free kick look like a delicate, purposeful pass into the goal, so unopposed I at first thought there had been a whistle for something. What a splendid happenstance was that though! Get in!
I thought George worked hard, but positionally he seemed to be increasingly lost as the game progressed, decent though, and had a very solid shot blocked. Cullen was excellent, no more need be said. Getting used to Williams a bit more now, he likes to get it, turn and scurry at top speed, a difficult opponent for anybody and very much sweating the willpower second half. Marshall should have scored, subbed because he had been booked and was a risk.
Aribo nearly at his spidery best, but a bit in and out, loads of skill all the time, I like the nerve he shows when refusing to simply lump it. The subs all did well naturally, and we didn't diminish at all having made them, but improved.
No sound, but I suspect we had a pretty merry crowd and the atmosphere was good. Actually the atmosphere is always good when you win, with the added glory of a Naby goal I reckon it was special.

It's sundrland, written in stars I tell thee.2 -
Crap first half, but the entire second half was better. Marshall missed 2 great chances in quick succession and was rightly replaced by Fosu. Switching Williams to the right seemed to work wonders.
Great atmosphere from the travelling fans, despite the fact that we couldn't see half the. If you didn't have the sun in your eyes, you caught the glare off the top of the dugout.
Beaten our bogey side twice now, and got a much needed win with 2 really tough games coming up.0 -
Obviously I’m claiming that after my calls for Naby to take free kicks. Go Naby!!0

Just back horrible first half, great second.
Naby player of the year?
cullen much better up the field second half
Bowyer sat behind us second after being sent off.
premier ref? As bad as the rest of them just awful IMHO.1 -
Is it worth saying that we looked a lot better after Bowyer went off!11

We were generally poor, especially first half, but we needed it.
Well done to Nabs and Aribo played well in second half.1 -
I thought we looked more dangerous when Lapslie came off. Williams and Aribo took up the slack and Fosu gave us more offensive bite.1
-
Poor performance and the win shouldn't hide the cracks. Was certainly better second half but hardly promotion form. Would be nice if it could get our momentum back as we will need to play a lot better in the next 2 games.
Sarr continues to improve.
Can't see what Williams adds.
Not sure why people are complaining about the ref. Thought he was probably the best we have had this year. His most obvious errors were probably not booking Sarr in the first half and Solly in the second. I just hope Sarr would have had the sense not to then make that challenge in the second half for which he rightly got booked.3 -
I think the team that ended the match showed the way we need to go.1

Any details on what Bowyer did to get sent off?0

At the match.
Met a few lifers in the Watchman before the game which is always nice.
As for the game itself we were set up all wrong with only one up front and a packed midfield of midgets.
One nil down at half time and I would of settled for a draw tbf.
But then up steps the Nabster with that free kick.he is fast becoming my favourite player.absolutely love him.
Last 15 minutes of the match was by far our best spell of the game and when Igor scored it sparked great celebrations in our side of the ground .
Other results went our way today and I shall be heading to Doncaster next Saturday in a positive mood.
Despite being owned by Shitweasel we still have a great chance of the playoffs and then anything can happen.
Until then let's all try and stay positive.12 -
Put a tenner on at half time for a 1-2 at 8’s
Happy days
also put a tenner on a 1-3 at 35’s
Welk that was just a shite bet!

Don't stay out too late and post on the drunk thread .1 -
First half was truly dreadful. Second half we dominated and deserved the win. Just left Wimbledon and off to meet my Millwall mate. Brilliant.3

Do we know if Parker was injured or dropped?
great win. COYR0 -

Weird day. Turned up at two without a ticket as my womble friend reliably informed me that they sell returns from a little window, on the day. Today, being an all ticket sell out, they couldn't unfortunately. Couldn't find any touts, but at the last minute asked someone who'd picked up comps how you get tickets. Turned out he had a spare.
Had to stand with the Wimbledon fans, just behind their dugout, near some morons who I suppose were trying to wind our fans up.
Pretty poor first half really, no one played all that well, but Cullen in particular kept giving the ball away. The only player their fans were worried about was Marshall, who actually looked quite dangerous at times. Blazed a shot over when he should have hit the target though. Taylor missed an open goal after their keeper parried a shot. He hit the ball into the ground and it bounced over the crossbar. (He also headed over from close in during the second half).
Wimbledon probably deserved their half time lead though.
Second half we battled our way back into it, particularly once Bowyer was sent off. I think it fired us up a bit. Taylor was holding the ball up better, and the midfield started winning their individual battles, and actually created some chances.
When we won the free kick just outside their box (the first foul given in favour of Taylor?) I remembered what I posted after the Blackpool game (and also once last season) 'Why doesn’t Naby take free kicks outside the area? He’s by far our best striker of the ball.' Obviously they must scan CL for little tips like this (lol) and when I saw Naby lining up to take it I just felt he'd score. I was right in line, and they put the wall in the wrong place for a left footer. He probably couldn't believe his luck. Beautiful strike though. And I loved his run over to Jackson. Bowyer said after the game that Naby's taking all of the free kicks now. To be honest I can see him being a real threat because he's so accurate, and can also blast them.
We held our own after that goal, with the defense snuffing out the threat posed by their two big lads up front.
Aribo was sublime. He so rarely loses the ball, even when outnumbered. Williams's runs were opening the game up, and we started finding space out wide. Wimbledon tied up quite badly, and it was good to see us finishing so strongly. Totally deserved the winner, which I saw from the far corner of the ground. I couldn't bear the idea that they might sneak a winner while I was surrounded by their fans, so saw the game out in the company of one of their stewards, a young black lad, who kept telling me that Charlton were by far the better team and would get a last minute winner. Two minutes later when we did I shook his hand and said thanks.
Walked to my car after the game with a group of 'fellow' Wimbledon fans. Loved hearing their moans, and enjoyed saying that 'Charlton have a much better team than ours, that Aribo lad is brilliant, and I wish we had Taylor back' etc. Made my day.
Let's hope we can get on a roll now.27
