The ref was a bit precious if he was originally booked for throwing his hands in the air. It was a natural reaction to an iconsistent decision. Many of us do it when we watch games!
That picture confuses me, half the people are looking 1 way the other half the other way, what is going on.
Look at the age of some of the people in that photo though. Some of them probably can't move their heads and necks quick enough if the ball changes direction.
Or maybe even notice that the ball's gone the other way ...
You could hear what he said on the Valley Pass highlights. Abusive language yes....but I am sure players do far worse on the pitch. The comedy sight was then Mr Bowyer walking across the pitch to take his seat in the stand
There are some characters in management that I guarantee referees won't need any encouragement to take action against. Lee Bowyer is definitely going to be one of them
Whilst I don't agree that abuse given to officials by players or managers should be tolerated they have made a bed for themselves by letting so much of it go for years and then it's down to an individual to decide what is too much.
I hate comparing football to rugby because they are different games, 1 thing that always struck me from playing both of them growing up was the respect or restraint rugby gave me towards officials. You gob off to a rugby referee you will be sent off, no 2 ways about it. In football it's accepted and at local levels it is beyond changing now. I never got booked or sent off for gobbing off to a referee but loads of my mates used to.
And I was a fairly easy target for referees given how many fouls I got pulled up for
Both Taylor and Bowyer have been unfairly treated by the FA, yet some of their referees are allowed to carry on regardless of their limited abilities and abysmal decision making.
Not the first time this season he's been sanctioned and he didn't help himself by reacting to the yellow card and then calling the ref a f****** w****** to his face as he walked off.
The first card did seem harsh but don't think Lee is blameless here.
We love his passion and fight but sometimes it goes to far, just as it did when he was a player.

Yes he shouldnt have done it but 3 games is harsh.
How often do you see managers calling refs and 4th officials every name under the sun.
Will MP get a 3 game ban for his reaction after Burnley defeat??
Comments
They wont.

Sue Parkes is looking at the buffet.
Edit: and genuinely appears to have a brown nose in this picture. I make no further comment....

I still love Lee Bowyer having said all of that!
Eeeerrrrgghhhhhh
Why has he got a 3 match ban for foul and abusive language
However, no surprise unfortunately.
Jackson is still a good figure to have on the touchline though.
