What did Go West Sing ?

This is a serious question as they are the 'Entertainment' at Lingfield Racing on Saturday after the last race. My boss has splurged on a day at the races with a meal & free bar all night. I am under orders to drink the bar dry, so all seems good for the day apart from the fact I have no idea what this band is like nor can I recalll any of their songs, are they pelt ?

King of wishful thinking was one of 'em.

If you think of Huey Lewis/Billy Joel kind of era that's the type of music.
  • Cheers Sco, looks like it's gonna be drink as much as possible to drown out the music then :-)
  • Pet Shop Boys sung Go West didnt they?
  • Great night out the evening races with band music afterwards... Saw Jules Holland & Morcheeba after the races at Newmarket great fun if you haven't got to drive

  • Apparently the two blokes in Go West do not like each other at all, which is why they fell out in the 80's.

However, finding themselves on hard times they were forced to reconcile and make a comeback because their solo careers had gone nowhere.

Or am I getting them mixed up with Tears for Fears?

Don't be ashamed - it's all the rage to admit to your 'guilty pleasures'. They're opening Glastonbury with a few bands playing theirs this year. Organised by the bloke who runs the Guilty Pleasures night at Koko.

    (I'm a little ashamed too).

We close our eyes we never lose a game
Imagination never lets us take the blame...

Guilty Pleasures: I actually used to own the remix versions of Go West's hits on a CD called 'Bangs and Crashes'
