Never mind that it didn't answer anything - you didn't really expect it to, did you? It's the number of complaints they get which matter!
MPs generally assume that for every letter of complaint they receive there are 50 other constituents who think the same but don't go beyond bitching about it to their mates.
If EFL feels the same, then 20 letters from disgruntled CAFC fans equates to 1000 dissatisfied "customers".
This is why I have participated in each action of this type we have had, writing to the FA about Meire's incompetence, the firms who were advertising round The Valley to ask whether they really wanted to be associated with Roland's toxic brand, to other league clubs when Katy was up for election to represent the league, and now to the ELF. It is more productive than sitting here being a Charlton Life keyboard warrior - and on at least 2 of those cases helped produce a satisfying outcome.
When we got our club back last time, we didn't sit on our asses and did nothing. Every email, every "legal" bit of pressure is worth it in the long run, no matter how long it takes.
As a competition organiser, the EFL regulates against dual interests and, having assessed the suggestion to take control of Charlton Athletic put forward by the Club’s owner Roland Duchatalet, the EFL Board has concluded that that such an arrangement would raise a significant conflict of interest and as such is not one that could be considered.
The EFL will be speaking to Mr Duchatalet with regard to the ownership of Charlton Athletic and will continue to offer any support it can in assisting with his aim of finding a suitable new owner for the Club.
In meantime, the ongoing EFL review continues and is expected to reach a conclusion before the end of the season.
Thank you for contacting the EFL.
Kind Regards
Danny

Short version: pipe down you berk, we're not interested and you're stuck with him, go away.
Thanks for nothing "Danny", happy in your work? Proud of yourself?
To be fair, just how did you expect the EFL (or poor 'Danny') to respond?
