Not sure exactly what the injury is, but he did it in training. Just pulled up while doing shooting practice. It was not a kick or a tackle. He was limping yesterday evening.
I am astonished there is any debate over Lapslie. He is now, and will become a very good player as will Morgan. Pause and think about the trajectory of young players. They very rarely land in any team fully formed and ready to go. Brandon Hanlan and Joe Piggot are amongst two examples of lat(er) development, as is Karlan. If you think of a young player starting 'men's football' a bit like a new kid in year 7 being rather in awe of the big kids in years 10 and 11 you get the idea. Once settled and assimilated more Lapslie will be fine. He deserves his award in my view, he has actually opened the door for the management to have confidence in introducing other young players like Djiksteel and Morgan.
Lapslie works hard and is full of enthusiasm etc. Morgan (who's younger) though seems a cut above him in terms of vision and control.
Agree, and think Dijksteel is a technically and athletically more gifted player than Lapslie.
I think Lapslie has done well. He has, without a doubt, surpassed my expectations this season. But I think he still has a lot of growing to do. Djiksteel and Morgan could probably be thrown into a League One first team and do really well over 40-odd games. I think Lapslie would do alright, but probably needs another season of maturing. My biggest question with him is, apart from workrate, what is his strongest attribute? I think he's got a decent touch, decent range of passing, and can kind of break up play. But none of them stand out like, say, Dijksteel's 1-v-1 defending or Morgan's vision/passing ability and touch.
Never noticed before that Lee has a black and white hand. A cruel affliction. You can grow out of it though. I've seen photos of my Dad when he was a little boy just after the war and he was entirely black and white. Possibly something to do with rationing, because you look at him now and there's barely a trace of the condition Just some white hair. The rest of his body is full of colour. Remarkable really.

Bit surprised he was there.
