Just a reminder (sorry if a thread elsewhere) today is 2nd anniversary of the murder of PC Keith Palmer. Parliament are holding a minutes silence currently.
Keith was my Dad's friend and colleague, he gave the eulogy at Keith's funeral and even threw in a few Charlton jokes (my Dad is a Leyton Orient fan). My Dad was one of the police officers on the pitch during Charlton's minute silence to Keith and him and his colleagues were incredibly touched by everyone at the club, especially the fans and their tribute to such a great man.
Just attended a small memorial service for Keith held where he fell in New Palace Yard very moving and dignified said a prayer for Keith and CAFC as I know he would have wanted. He will never be forgotten
There's a small memorial installed near the gates of the HoP, usually with flowers laid by it. I noticed there were none this morning but expect that not to be the case when I leave work later.
