Listening back to some of the music today I'd forgotten how good the Beat were.
Grew up listening to The Beat, The Specials, The Selecter, Jimmy Cliff, Desmond Dekker etc and jumped about to ska - seems like only yesterday.
56 is no age to go - horrible for his friends and family.
