They weren't in league one at the time though.

Just shows the game is gone though, they spent £1.25m on transfer fees........and £4.3m on agent’s fees

Free transfers will incur agent's fees though. We wouldn't have signed Taylor, Pratley, Williams etc without paying signing on fees and agent fees
