Only a very short preview from me this weekend. Have been unable to do much due to ill health and as a result I really hope Charlton get a result today as a pick me up.
Plymouth nearly always play a 4-2-3-1 formation and have a dangerous striker up front in Freddie Ladapo, scoring 17 goals in all competitions this season, 16 in the league. They of course have other talented players who can hurt us in Carey and Lameiras, we have to be careful of them going forward, especially at home they’re more likely to venture forward far more. Plymouth don’t really have trouble scoring goals, it is their horrific form at the beginning of the season as mentioned by @ForeverAddickted that has really let them down. Since the turn of the year, Plymouth have picked up 26 points in 15 games, that’s play-off form. In fact, when you look at form, they’ve scored more goals at home in the same amount of games as we have, but it is their defence that has really let them down, conceding 31 in comparison to us only conceding 14. Previously in the season, our first half record was far better than our second half but interestingly now, they’re the same. Plymouth’s first half record isn’t too good, so I feel if we are going to get a positive result here, we must start fast.
I don’t expect too many changes for us, Bielik coming in for Reeves, pushing Cullen a little further forward. Fosu could come in for Williams but I don’t think that will happen today, although I personally would as I think Williams might be better suited for Wycombe away on Tuesday night. Marshall and Lapslie could have a case of playing after good performances for the U23s but they might have to settle for a place on the bench or not even being in the squad. With Bielik back, I think Reeves drops to the bench, and Pratley and Marshall are the unlucky ones not to be included.
I see a lot of people going for a 1-1 draw, I do think it will be close, but I got a feeling we could see some goals today.

The 4231 formation patented by the taciturn football coach Karl Robinson works a treat for the pilgrims who win with their only two shots on target, with both shots taking a wicked deflection.
Charlton huff and puff, but despite having 65% of procession and ten efforts on goal can only score with Purrington cross come shot.

If we go behind I think we will struggle. Plymouth at home are a tough nut. Still saying 1 - 1 but I have a sinking feeling that we might lose this one 2 - 1

Plymouth 0-3 Charlton. 3 more points. Barnsley and Sunderland both draw and a midweek win for the Addicks means it’s squeaky bum time for the teams above us trying to get that second place spot

Bounce back next week with Bowyers predicted big win. Charlton 4 Luton 0
The Covered End goes nuts.
In a one-all draw

We'd effectively be 5 against 5 in midfield against Plymouth's 4-2-3-1 but we'd still have a couple of outlets up front.
Used properly it could be a good attacking formation.
1.0 to the Janners.
