We defintely have another gear or two which is positive. Sarr has been very good, Cullen fairly quiet with dismal set pieces. Taylor should've scored and has been a bit wasteful.
Would say a draw is a fair result on current showing
Luton have been restricted to long shots and like the game at Barnsley have managed to take one of them
Of course thats not the Charlton way (maybe under instruction?) and we seem unable to have a pop unless we get into the penalty area... Sadly our build up play when we get to that final third is painfully slow which allows Luton to get their players back and is clear how their top when you combine that with their energy on the ball (Moncur has ran the show today) - For Charlton you'd struggle to find better players today than Bielik and Sarr whilst Vetokele continues to impress
Bit concerned about Purrington as all the Luton play is coming down his flank, would seriously be tempted to replace him with Pearce and play either him or Sarr out there!!
Without doubt though our crossing needs to improve drastically from all players in the second half!!
I am not convinced it was a red myself, and not just because it's Vetokele (who's looked sharp-ish) - he really wasn't getting the ball again and his shot went wide. I'd need to see the challenge again to see whether it was serious foul play but if Vetokele had just lifted it over the keeper and then taken the foul, red was certainly on
Pretty even game, we've had the better of the possession. They look a real threat on the break. Unlucky to to be losing, one slightly sloppy bit of defending punished with an excellent finish. Igor looks very lively, Taylor wasted his two chances. WE're getting plenty of balls into the box, but mass rank defence from Luton keeping us a bay. Good game.
Don't see a lot of games but watching this on ifollow. Aribo gets a lot of plaudits but he has been poor as is Williams. Hopefully they will pick it up this half.
A fairly even first half but Luton are more clinical in front of goal.
The oppo have run through our midfield and diwn the flanks too easily, Bielik, BeckenSarr, and Phillips have been the main reason we've only conceded one.
We've had chances, Taylor guilting of wasting a cracking opportunity by smacking it against the bar.
The ref has been awful, can see him sending off one of our players, probably Lyle.
Hopefully that was our "poor" half for this match and we can shift up a couple of gears in the second half.

Totally agree Leuth. The ball was well beyond Vetokele and it had gone wide of the goal. I don't think he would have got to it. However, you could argue that the recklessness of the challenge itself warranted a straight red.
My concern is Taylor managing to stay on in the second half. His petulance got him booked, and this ref won't need a lot of persuading to chuck another yellow at Taylor. Two corners as well, and both were absolutely woeful. First one wasted as a short corner; second one Cullen didn't even clear the first man with the cross. There's a revelation! Luton very impressive on the break.
Ref bottling it. Aribo not at the races. Why didn't Naby take the free kick? Cullen playing well apart from his set pieces. Mpanzu and Moncur are Champ class.

Had never heard of Mpanzu before but looking him up on Wiki I'm surprised he's been at Luton so long
Lucky to be only one behind. Over run in midfield. Only desperate dlefending saving us. Need Beilik to step up or go off. Aribo to get involved. Dont be surprised to see Taylor sent off.

Come on lads, we can still win this!
We don't score much.
That's the second half sorted.
However, you could argue that the recklessness of the challenge itself warranted a straight red.
