Unfortunately that’s the risk you take when you employ someone like Barton.
We took a risk (albeit a lesser one) with Bowyer.
Is this a joke? Please tell me it is.
If not, care to explain how on earth Bows was a risk? How you can even compare him in the slightest to Barton?
We brought in Bowyer to improve the midfield, coaching once a week. He had previously worked with Watford with Kewell. He had been out the game and quiet and calmed down for a long time. When he was introduced as part of the management team, he was part of the staff working under others, now he is the main man, where and how was there a risk due to his character?
Just because he made one stupid mistake 23 years ago in a McDonalds when he was a teenager doesn’t make him a bad person, far from it, it also doesn’t make him anything like the creature that Barton is.
Interesting that Fleetwood have said nothing and taken no action
Wonder if they're being cautious and waiting for the police outcome before taking further action
They could sack him for damaging the reputation of the club but seeing that Barton has done well there it might be a reluctant course for them to take - At the same time if it were to come to light that Barton's involvement wasnt as severe as first thought and was nothing more than handbags then there is no reason for Fleetwood to take any serious action against Barton
South Yorkshire Police have arrested a man relating to an incident after the game between Barnsley and Fleetwood.
The man attended a police station on Wednesday where he was arrested on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and racially aggravated assault.

So is this a third party thats gotten involved then and instigated it?
Joey Barton has mentioned that his families chip ship was bombed in the war, by the Luftwaffe and then may or may not have given him a banger and chipped his teeth, resulting in the front two teeth departing Daniel Stendhal mouth.
Joey Barton will need the legal Mr Loophole to think of a good excuse, to get him off the hook, considering their are plenty of witnesses Don't think alcohol is even to blame this time, unless he had a hip flask.
I personally have no comment to make on that story and will refrain from speculation, regardless of what others are talking abart on facebook. You have to say that if he/she is found guilty and has committed repeated thuggish acts in the past then the pattern of behaviour suggests a tragic unteachability
# Awaits Chizz, the man often to first denounce alleged racism.
That's just unacceptable. I come on here to read and join in discussions about football, politics, news and other subjects. And then I see an inflammatory comment like this.
Honestly! Why do you have to post that? It's disgraceful. And I know it's just a wind up, but... really? Shameful.
I shouldn't bite. But... you've used a split infinitive.
Barging into somebody can be accidental or it can be deliberate. If you deliberately barge somebody and they fall under a train and die would that constitute murder? If you deliberately barge somebody and they collide with something and sustain injury would that constitute assault? Tripping up over something would that make it an accident?
Good question, very specific and established answer.
Did you intend to kill OR cause GBH? That Is the test for intent in murder (mens rea)

Surely they'd only do that if the Police werent going to press charges?

About 6 points should do it.

Throws up more questions than answers, that.

Don't know but assume Germans come under that definition.
