Unless my memory is failing me
Keith Peacock was the very first substitute ever used in professional football.
But who did he come on for?

Happy Birthday Keith, as others have said you were a decent player and you are a gentleman.

Came on when Mike Rose the goalie was injured. Did John Henie go in goal?

    Bolton I think.
    No it was Holton.
  • After a match back in about 1964, was standing behind the west stand with my kid brother amongst a large gathering of kids all with autograph books in hand.
Keith strode out, put his hand on my kid brothers head and said "right all line up behind this lad".
I turned to get behind my brother, only to find my way blocked by another kid, then another, then another until I finally found myself about 30th in the queue!
    Had the hump for weeks.
    Anyway, happy birthday Keith.
From nippy winger to stylish midfielder, started supporting around his debut and saw his career right through.

Is there any job he hasn't undertaken at Charlton?

I hope he uses the Nescafe coffee gesture...
