Missed all the 1987 play offs as I was too young although a bit pissed off that my Dad didn’t take me to any of the home games at least? Were they all night matches?
Leeds was definitely a Saturday afternoon then played up there bank holiday Monday evening.
Am I crackers remembering that picture being on the front of all the programs for that season?
Too young for 1987. Since then only missed Ipswich away in '98.
Remember queuing as a 16 year old for 3 hours to get Palace away tickets in '96 - arrived nearly an hour before the ticket office opened and the queue was already on Charlton Lane.
Played well that year, but lacked potency up front. Absolutely dominated Palace in the first leg and still managed to lose.
Was nice to see Claridge shin the last minute winner in though.

All bar Swindon away for me. Was also at the virtual play-off game at Stamford Bridge in 1988. If Chelsea won we were in the relegation play-off place, otherwise they were. They got a very dodgy pen to go 1-0 up but Paul Miller (I think?) got an equaliser. Remember being kept in the ground for almost an hour afterwards. They went on to lose to ‘Boro and were relegated. Happy days.

Missed 2010 cos that’s when March51 fell ill. The atmosphere at Ipswich home was one of the best we’ve ever had at The Valley.
I'd go further than that - the atmosphere that night against Ipswich was the best I've ever heard at the Valley. The noise when the teams came out was deafening

I’ve posted on other threads about the atmosphere that night, I arrived about 5 mins or so into the game and when I walked into the East Stand pitch side the sensation of the atmosphere hitting me was like none I’ve experienced before or since.

need us to finish 3rd or 4th if I can get to the away legs this time round
Eight out of the first Ten ,missed Leeds away 87 and Ipswich away 98.
The game that means the most to me is THE ST ANDREWS match with Leeds.
Without that win Charlton would not be a league club or maybe even dead.
Ipswich and Leeds at Selhurst in 1987.
