Watching the game again they had a good shout for a penalty that I forgot about. Think it was the first half of ET and Cullen sticks a leg out in the box and Rowe goes down. Could easily have been given.
They could’ve had three. The incident you mention. Taylor shirt pulling. Naby barging one of their players into the net.

    We could’ve had 3 too.

Ref was poor all night and seemed intent not to make any big calls.

He didn’t give any red cards so I am thankful for that.

As we’re talking about the ref, there were (at least) two incidents where he pulled play back for a free kick when playing an advantage was definitely and obviously the right call. Luckily both of these occasions hindered Doncaster, not us.  :D
Weirdly, not long after one of these, the commentator said the ref had tried to let the game flow! He seemed to me to be very quick to the whistle all game unless it was a penalty shout for either side, then he wasn’t interested.

Thought the ref was shocking for both teams.

Referee was shocking at times last night as was the East Stand lino

Latter missed a blatant push on Pratley who went down covering the ball (Foul given for obstruction of the ball rather than the push)

The worst one though was the foul from the Charlton player, referee put his arms out to give the advantage the Doncaster player stopped, put his hand on the ball and then took a free kick; Referee hadnt blown for a free-kick which of course meant it should have been a handball offence with Charlton given the free-kick surely... Nope, gave Doncaster the free-kick!!
That was bazaar, I was left wondering who was referring the game, you play to the whistle normally.

At the end of the day, Charlton finished 3 places above and 15 points clear of Donny and I thought Marquis got away with a blatant "hand to ball" in the area, so alls fair in love and war.

There is little point picking on things the ref got wrong when he got so much wrong which influenced the game. It affected both sides though, but we won and there is no need looking back. He wasn't be the first rubbish ref we have had won't be the last!

The offside was something the officials got right. But I thought we were unlucky. Parker did a great flick on and Taylor just needed to delay his run a fraction.
