For the record, I had a season ticket for years but haven't had a peep out of the club since I gave it up. No offers, etc, to try to coax me back. Compare that to Swag jewellers, amongst others, where I once bought my missus a watch 5 years ago and still get stuff through from them all the time.
Not a complaint. Just stating facts.
If you run a business and have lapsed customers then they are generally the low hanging fruit when it comes to trying to get people to buy again. But that's a normal business, that's properly run with a proper management structure, etc.
I also am a lapsed ST holder with my lapsed ST holder husband and buy tickets sporadically for matches and am on their database but have never been contacted specifically to come back. I mentioned that on here and was met with comments that I should get off my high horse and not expect the club to contact me. I didn’t mean just me, but a huge group of people and more over the past few years.so I’ve never said it before but I totally agree with you. I absolutely could have been convinced to get back into it more than lapsed husband and get even half season tickets etc but never received anything.
This is the other side of boycotting. Whilst I believe this is what we should have done years ago and been hardline with it, it does mean stuff like this becomes difficult.
I stayed in valley gold because I don't believe contributing towards mini buses and balls for the youth sides affects shitarse. It did also mean I could get tickets today.
One thing i can say now i have the tickets, I wrote to the club telling them to remove all data they held about me under the data protection act. Luckily they completely ignored that as I was still on their customer database this morning!

Like you I gave up my season ticket. Why should the club bother to send out information when it common knowledge that most of the people who gave up our Season tickets was because of Roland Duchatelet. As he's still in situ what's the point ?

It's not as if getting information about football club tickets is difficult these days, we managed to shift 24000 tickets for the semi without too much marketing effort

I gave up my st in 2011. I know why they don’t contact people now due to the boycotting and abuse they may receive if they did. but I made my original comment in 2013.
I gave up my ST in 2016 and emphatically told the club where to stick their marketing crap, so I’m not surprised nor am I expecting any “please come back” communications.
That said, I’m sure any new owner will have seen last night and will know there are people ready and waiting once the clueless old sod shuffles off.
I have two season tickets and can't get tickets. Wasted the whole day on it with my daughter.
We've given up. The hassle outweighs the enjoyment.
I suggested last week that you practised using the ticket website. It would have taken you five minutes to buy 2 online & still will. Send me a message if I can help you through the process.
Having had a season ticket for 21 seasons, but not for the last 2 in protest, I’m wondering if any other fans in the same situation have ever been contacted by the club in an attempt to win them back.
I haven’t & it seems to me that the club don’t give a f*** about those of us who were loyal for 10/20/30/40/50 years through some difficult times. I’d be interested to know if anyone has been contacted - I don’t even get the season ticket renewal bumf sent out to me anymore.
Think I’ll be watching the final somewhere on the telly. CTID
So you refuse to go to Charlton, but want Charlton to write to you, so you can refuse again ?

Would you buy a season ticket if they had contacted you? Probably not I would assume, so why would they bother. I stopped my season ticket the year before we got relegated from the prem, and the club chased me up a few times. nobody likes the way we are run at the moment, but I can’t see the point in moaning about follow ups when we know the old fool doesn’t give two hoots
I had a season ticket for decades but gave it up two years ago because I couldn't bring myself to give the senile old fool any more money, which meant my son and dad also stopped going.
Now we are going to have to wait until Monday and take our chances to see if we can get three tickets then.
But that's life. You make your choices and you live with them. You wont hear me moaning about it.
There's always the TV .........
Since posting this on here I'd just like to thank all those who know me for the offers of tickets.
So, thanks for the thought mum, but your last game was the Full Members Cup Final and you've got no priority either.
Gave up my season ticket 2 years ago after my Dad moved down to Cornwall. I've never had anything from the club asking why etc...which has never bothered me, but i get emails/post on behalf of my 4 year old Son regularly asking him to rejoin the Junior Reds!
I think the lack of reach out to lapsed holders in recent seasons is due to the operation being run on a skeleton basis, with no proper managers, strategy or budget being applied.
There is simply no one really there who is positively driving the growth of the club behind the scenes.

The point is that it's good business. It is far easier to reconnect with an ex-'customer' than it is to find a new one.
Any normal business would be asking what realistic changes could be made to win people over. Any genuinely concerned owner would be trying to figure out what they needed to do on a personal level to try and build the good will of the fans and the success of the operation. But that's not Charlton Athletic under Duchatelet. They'd rather not be bothered with disgruntled and lapsed fans. They'd rather wash their hands of them. He'd rather launch snide personal attacks from his secret lair in Belgium.

Doubt the tickets will sell out by Tuesday.
We could even get a few more as the capacity is 88k(?) so leaving about 16k remaining.
I would have thought the balance is covered by debenture holders and EFL freebies!
You will be on the data base, and you have had ample time to get a FAN number if not. We have all been told enough times and we all knew the possibilities of playoffs etc for some time.
Also think you it is a bit rich to boycott and then complain that the club no longer writes to you.
As another boycotter, I have to agree. Club staff gave up contacting former season ticket holders a couple of years ago because they were getting nowhere and because of all the abuse they were receiving in doing so. If you want to give up the boycott, buy a ticket but don't expect a club employee to call you begging you to return.

Vegans complaining that they don't get an online order menu from the local butcher ?
Haven't heard a peep from them since, which doesn't surprise me as the ownership doesn't give a shit.
I think this is the point the OP was making. Just ridiculously poor management of the fanbase your customers

I really wouldn’t take it personally
