  • I had a box for the Cray Valley/Orient matches last week and genuinely thought it was the best corporate thing I’ve ever done. You even get your own chef in a kitchen attached to the box. I would’ve paid for one if they were available for Sunday.

    Box is £354 pp
    8 or 12 people
    That is massive value imo.

Please those of you that have bought the corporate package please stop justifying why you have done it. You’ve done it because you can afford to and like a bit of comfort.

if I could have afforded it I would. Got posh seats only but I can’t wait to get in there.

ps longtimeaddictec have you still got 10 Pinocchio outfits? Or have I mixed you up with another poster?
Hi Curb It, you are not mistaken, they may well still be lurking about in the stores at work, do you want me to have a look for them, it’s been a while!
  • Ha no I don’t want them. Just had a funny Vision of you turning up to Wembley in them!

  • @Curb_It I get where you are coming from - it's why I titled the thread as it is. I never felt comfortable on those few occasions I was in the directors box at the Valley. Bu you are being a tad unfair in your assumptions. While I feel i can afford it, I'm also paying for 6 other people who definitely can't. And I only feel I can due to inheritance money. My Dad was a lifelong fan, and Charlton was the glue  which held us together, especially during and after the fight to get back to the Valley. Now with our parents gone, and our lives going in different directions,  Charlton is once again the thing we have in common. Yes, they would mostly probably go anyway but they only go to the Valley generally, so there would be debates and misgivings about where to go before and after. I feel like I'm being the big brother, and the one most closely associated with Charlton, and saying, don't worry, I'll take care of it all and it's going to be as good as it gets.

Anyway that's my last word on the subject, gotta go pack my bag. See you all tomorrow, at Wembley!

Well said dear Sir, it’s also the reason that we’ve  kept watching CAFC over the past four years, (not from a box, from the upper north, great view good atmosphere).

Despite that freaking, nasty “scared” old scrotum from Belgium, Kate the delusional liar and cronies!

We have all protested in our own “weird” sorry I meant “unique” ways, for me the Donny home match and Sunday says it all about Charlton.

Personally, we’ve had huge pleasure this season in watching a team built and bonded in the face of real adversity, despite of not because of the owner.

COYRs just win one more game for us and just maybe it becomes a Happy Valley again.

So why ask if it’s 269 per person? It’s hardly per box is it? You know what you’ve paid to take you and your wife to see the spice girls. Does the price you’ve paid include approx 4 hours of free booze?
I've never been in a box I've had to pay for & don't know how many go. I agree that £269 for a box would be cheap, but then £269 per person seems expensive. So that was why I asked. No free booze at The Spice Girls.
Sorry I seem to have upset you, had no intention of doing so.
Like I said earlier, I hope everyone has a wonderful time.
Blimey you've paid £150 for spice girls CE.
£269 in this case is a bargain

True but that's what you do for true love :-)

Well if Ryanair lets Vincent down, then I suppose yes . But we don't want that, do we?

    Definitely not.
  • No club colours (in Bobby Moore, not general club Wembley) just means no Charlton badges, right? I can wear red and white clothing, riiiight?

    Would really appreciate any insight

A friend has debentures with seats right by where the players walk up the steps to get their medals and says people are always in club colours even though instructions say otherwise .
  • @Siv_in_Norfolk

Looks to me like anything other than a replica shirt is fine, especially if you did not get the letter posted above re the Bobby Moore, and there is nothing on your ticket that dictates restrictions. They are on dodgy ground trying to enforce any dress code if customers have not been clearly told of it. If anyone questions you, say "Where is that in the T&C's then ?"

    Thanks

Does “Dress Code: Smart Casual” preclude trainers? :)
  • Friend has worn jeans and trainers in the debentures bit so trainers “should” be good

  • We are in the One Twenty. Our tickets say No CLub Colours. The kids’ ones don’t say that. The blurb on the site says you can wear club colours in the Bobby Moore ONLY for play off finals, except if you are on level one. Where we are.

And I’m stood here looking at my MESH shirt, with

    Complex, innit?

theres a number to call for enquiries 0800 783 1442

opens two hours before club Wembley
  • Loads of colours here in The Venue lounge
  • On table 288 if anyone wants to say hello!
  • Every time I see the title of this thread I start to sing “the start of the lotus eaters” by Nick Cave & the bad seeds (Dig Lazureth Dig album).
  • What do you get for £269?
Meal, booze (wine, beer, soft drink) tea, coffee, sandwiches (prawn of course) posh football.

Padded seat, half way line ish

most importantly a win please god🙏
    Seat £80 ?
    Meal £30 ?
Not fussed about tea & sandwiches.
So I'd need to drink £159 worth of booze.
Possible, but I may need to stay there until Tuesday.
No worries about where to take a diverse family group for pre match food, drink. Get there before the crush. Leave after the crush. Get to be in one of those seats you see on TV when the players walk up to the Royal Box, and ecstatic fans are hugging them, and you wonder, who are those lucky fans? All that, knowing that you are at an age where this chance might not come round again, your family and friends you took will never forget the day if we win, and as for the cost, well you can't take it with you, can you?
