  • He just told the Micky Gray Ayia Napa story on SSN.
  • Had a man hug with Clive down by the home dug out after the Back to the Valley match.
Don't normally put people on a pedestal, but Clive when a middle age man and Matt Tees as a boy are my only real hero's though a lot of decent people have played for Cafc.

I think Clive is a simple soul at heart and I didn't know about the car crash which happened at Grimsby. I guess the bad back could have been down to that.

I thought he was offered a coaching job at Cafc but he went back to Sunderland because of his mum and sisters.

I know there has never been a more skilful hat-trick scored at Wembley.

    SuperClive, thank you.
  • Each of the goals had a killer touch, that made his next, the shot. Couldn’t pick which was best.

The man is a god (only a god could have scored those goals on that day).
I hope that he is absolutely coining it in the run-up to this match.
  • Well done the Daily Mail.  Great story.

  • Don’t know where it is but I paid for a Wembley paving stone which had something along the lines of “May 25th 1998 , Clive Mendonca made our dreams come true”
ive lost the paperwork to it and have never actually seen it ....
so if anyone sees it take a pic of it please !

Prolly a scam and they never existed in the first place .

i got an email a good few years back saying that they had actually moved them from where they were originally placed

I have something similar and haven't seen mine either - it said they have been relocated to the vertical wall adjacent to the Bobby Moore statue
