Romania destroyed Croatia 4-1 so it'll be interesting to see if Romania are a dark horse or if Croatia are just really poor.
Can’t believe the bookies have England as 1/2 favourites. Can’t remember the last time a losing team in a tournament are odds on against a team who has just previously won heavily against a team.
There must be some sort of “understanding” with Man City about how much Foden will or won't play. An probably similar with some other players. Otherwise that selection in a must win game is utterly bonkers.
No chance any of these defenders are going to be anywhere the senior team, at least not for a long time yet.
Attacking wise and midfield we are okay, pretty decent to be honest, but we lack that cutting edge most of the time. Maddison is going to be a very good player.

Still really disappointed with our movement further up the field... Romania are happy to sit back and we seem happy to labourously pass it about in front of them - Game is crying out for Abraham and Foden at the moment

Personally don't rate Mason Mount, I feel if he wasn't a Chelsea youngster the hype would not be the same. Bring in Foden for him and Abraham for Barnes. Put Gray on the left where he more comfortable, cutting in to allow Dasilva to come forward and move Calvert-Lewin to the right, allowing to come in and support Abraham and also have a relationship with Kenny at right back.
The England men’s national team needs two things, a decent back up keeper and good centre midfielders. Does the Under 21 tick those boxes. It’s a yes from me.

Next season will be huge for so many Chelsea players like him
Even if they dont get utilised: Mount | Abraham | Clarke-Salter | Dasilva | Palmer etc. they all need to be playing Premier League football next season
At the moment they're all just your typical footballers who can clearly produce in the EFL but need to prove they can step up (Sadly doesnt look like Kasey Palmer can anyway) - But with regards to Mason you only need to see how he was called up to the Senior Squad when at Derby to prove how hyped he is... See Joe Aribo get the same treatment if he manages to produce the same (or better) stats next season - Of course its not going to happen

Couldn't agree more to be honest. Far too many not playing in the Premier League but there is a great opportunity with much of this group to show they can do it next season.
Don’t think Maddison has necessarily stood out this tournament but have personally been very impressed. Playing a much more restrained role and showing the maturity that Southgate will want.
Also Foden is on so this game just got interesting

I think Maddison will be in the senior England squad come next tournament. Foden is still a maybe for me.
A few like Gray trying to be too clever by doing a trick to try and beat their man rather than using their pace so are losing the ball with ease - Keep it bloody simple
Amazing how going a goal down suddenly rejuvenates a team, looked like it was gonna be 0-0 Romania score a pen and suddenly england are like shit and quickly make it 1-1

England managers not picking their best players in a must win game seems to be a new trend
Romania are surely going to sit back more so be better to play the best players who can really pass it
Not convinced with Calvert Lewin either

Foden has more of a threat on goal in a few mins than some have had all game so far

It’ also ‘you’ not ‘u’
20mins to go and we need a goal, need to see one of them!!
Potential none one of those have a career in the Prem let alone one for England.
On this showing Southgate should have taken them both to the Nations League instead!!
Beats his man with pace and BAM
Not to mention we played that with intent rather than cautiously probing forward
