  • Nice kit but the blue in the sponsor is disappointing, arguably would of looked better and been more noticeable for the sponsor if it was in full white.
More noticeable!!! We won't be able to see Oztumer's chin when he wears this top.

Not sure I'm getting 98 vibes from it either. If anything it reminds me of the Nike shirt from 2015 (the decent Nike one)

Got a sort of last season Rangers look about it

    I think it's a much better shirt than last season's pin-stripe effort
  • I agree regarding the sponsor, I don't mind the size but was there any chance it could of been all in white?  personal preference but fewer colours on a shirt the better imo.

  • I think the sponsor looks fine, a lot worse weird betting company logos etc out there.
  • Is the red two tone? Cant make it out great on my phone.

Love the 98 vibes, sorry @Swisdom the sponsor looks awful
Think that's a bit harsh and I've moaned about the sponsor. Only the size I have a problem with though which is down to Hummel.
Yeah oversized sponsors look awful. Otherwise no issues with it.
  • It's decent, as all the Hummel ones have been but in my opinion it's the weakest home one they have done.

Like the kit, agree the sponsors logo doesn’t quite fit which is a shame but given a change of ownership will be part of my sons kit bag no doubt.

That said we also have the university if Greenwich kit with the hoop socks (we like those)

Shit sponsor (the logo not the company!)

    Just can’t get past it.

Shame as away kit is nice (although if they just had the company name that would be better)

Bristol City's Hummel home shirt has been officially revealed, looks more like Rangers home shirt from last year than ours does

Last season's looked much better close up. I think this season's is simple and the swords on it are just right. Nice effort from Hummel. Seeing as the away kit is grey, do we need a third kit?

Yes, the grey is too close to white, meaning there are half a dozen teams who wear red and white who both kits clash with; Sunderland, Doncaster, Fleetwood, possibly Lincoln, possibly Accrington, and obviously Southampton, Stoke and Shef Utd if we get any of those in the cups

Southampton are in all red with black shorts this season for some reason, but I get the point

Sorry you don't like the logo but that's the company logo.  The blue in the logo is important to my father personally for business reasons and the fact that this is why he is sponsoring this shirt is why it is there.
We are all very grateful that you are sponsoring the Club - fantastic gesture in difficult times.   Most appreciated.

Bristol City's is virtually the same as ours except an extra line of red on collar and cuffs and obviously the detailing different too. Not quite as bespoke as our others.

I just think it's a shame Hummel didn't scale it down a bit. That's on them though, no problem with the look of the sponsor otherwise.

Very similar. Bit disappointing that. But still a cracking kit. Plus ours has a Charlton fan owned company as sponsor not a betting firm

Plus, I think out hanger’s nicer than BCFC’s.

Yes, both are hummel kits for teams that play in red. The detailing is totally different.
  • Really don't get the gripes over the logo. I actually think it goes quite well.
  • I like both kits - now we just need to be invited to play in the league :)

People like to moan, if it wasn't that it'd be the neckline, or the cuffs don't go all the way round, or the red is too shiny, or something

The shapes are the same as that's the cut that Hummel are using, but every other detail is different, the panel on the front, the collars and cuffs, the inside of the kit, it's all bespoke, Nike would never have an embossed sword detailing just for us

Of course they wouldn't but I think it's the first of our Hummel kits (excluding the thirds) that have shared a base "shape" with any other team. That's the point I was making, still love Hummel and hopefully we extend the deal.

Perhaps I'm wrong on that though, may just not have noticed other clubs with the same shape if different colours. Obviously this just stands out.

    So other than

    • the detailing on the collar
    • the white band at the bottom
    • the detailing on the cuffs
    • the bespoke sword shading on the kit
    • interior labelling

2 traditional red team shirts are identical but with different club badges and sponsors, what did Hummel ever do for us!

If both clubs asked for something simple red with white detailing, there’s only so much Hummel can do to distinguish them. I think they’ve done a good job of doing that in the circumstances.
