God bless you Betty. Part of my youth travelling far and wide on Lewis coaches when we regularly won one away game per season. Thoughts with Theresa and the girls.
RIP Betty. What a lovely lovely lady. I used to go on her coaches to some of the away games. I was the cheeky shiortarse at the back of the coach with Jim, Ron and Marc. We used to have such a laugh. From the 1st time I stepped on her coach until I stopped going to away games) I always found Betty and Therese very warm and friendly. She was like a schoolteacher/mother to everyone in a very nice way in that she look after everyone always checking that everyone was ok., making drinks, doing the football card games and making the long journeys (especially after a defeat). Quite often she used to come around and say "Shall I put you down for the next away game?" Even though I would be undecided I would be going "er, not sure. maybe...ah ok put me down me down pls Betty". I am sure I speak for everyone in that you were a big part in our lives and we will all miss you dearly. All my move to her family and friends RIP xx
I really hope that she was fit enough to see our Wembley win and that it would have given her some pleasure in her final days. Thoughts with her family and many friends.
