Had to take my son to the Reading festival in the morning, traffic was a nightmare going but looked ok coming back on the M25. On the way back, traffic was worse but looked ok on the other side. Took M40 driving through London and only missed 10 minutes of the match. But I was so thirsty, I had to break my rule and buy a drink. I bought a Diet Pepsi (which was good as I prefer to Coke) and they left me the bottle top - was this a mistake or have they changed the rule? I noticed out of the corner of my eye some delicious looking sausage rolls. But I resisted. They did look good though! At least I think they were sausage rolls.
I had a bottle of squash in my bag which I was allowed to take in, so there doesn't seem to be a blanket ban on bottles with tops
Whilst the sausage roll I had was very good, and the boy said his steak pie was also good, I think £16 for a sausage roll, steak pie, pint and a soft drink is a bit much for football fayre!!
Uproar at the BBC where the canteen is now giving just SIX chips. Decent sized chips admittedly, but nice to see The Valley isn't the only place with chip rationing!
The Gather and Gather website is hard to navigate. They seem to be an Irish company. When I try to go to the food bit to check out the vegetarian offerings it keeps going to the ‘people’ bit.
I don’t think you’re supposed to eat the staff though.
Gather and Gather are part of Mitie Facilites Management group and ran a staff canteen ( a very good one) at one of the places I worked. When they were in last season I felt that the quality of the catering improved over the measly offerings we had when Duchatelet used Tony K's old Wembley based caterers serve us all 14 chips per portion. They also appear to be supporting the Upbeats kitchen so I have few problems with them.
I wonder if we can get on board with Piglet’s Pantry to supply some pies. there was a really interesting interview with the lady who started it on The Price of Football podcast last week and they sound delicious. She now does TO S of football teams pies. Some proper random flavours too
I would get one of these, but the cost price on the website is £3.50 each. The club would have to do a good deal and limit the mark up, but if hungry enough on a cold winter game I would find £4 for one if that can be done given staff and infrastructure costs.

Of course not. Queues that extended beyond half-time and they ran out of hot dogs. They are so s*** you almost have to congratulate them.
