  • Well up for this, Ben.
  • This is great. Nice one Ben.
One question though - how and why did the University of Wolverhampton get involved?

They have run other football and War events before.

They are a major centre for military studies and @SE7toSG3 did his master's degree there, hence our contact with them as Clive is one of our trustees ( it's not, as public school boy and troll claim, a one man museum).

We're trying to take the next step as a museum and this is part of that.

    Follow on @chathmuseum everyone.

The Football & War Project aims to disseminate and research the role of football in times of war, including such subjects as the effects of football on the morale of the population during times of war, footballers who have served in the military and the relationship between football clubs and the military, as well as much else.

Until last March, all of the talks seminars were held at Wolverhampton but since then, in order to reach a wider audience, they have been taken on the road to Dulwich Hamlet and Exeter City, so as Ben says, it’s a good feather in the cap of the museum to be asked to host this event.
