    Liverpool fans have denied flooding was their fault: Stan Boardman, Scouse "funny man" said " Hey, Ey, my Grannies, chip shop got wet in the last rain but we didn't complain. If the police and the FA had given us enough stirrup pumps this disaster could have been avoided."

    Gordon Brown has ordered an independent enquiry into why Liverpudlians were allowed to travel to Sheffield without adequate wet weather gear.
