When you say split ticketing @Charlton_Stu, how does that work.... a bit like the 'Manningtree Trick'?
My Son seems to wants to go, but obviously tickets are more expensive now (£88.50 return for me and a 10 year old).
Cheers
Example, London to Wolverhampton return.
Then Wolverhampton to Wigan return.
You make sure the tickets keep you on the 'through' train.
A split ticket.
Yeah pretty much what @ElfsborgAddick said although in my case it's Rugby, so i have 10.36 - 11.24 Lon to Rugby then 11.28 - 12.43 Rugby to Wigan on the same train, coming back it's 6.29 - 8.42 Wigan to Rugby then 8.43 - 9.57 leaving Rugby. A good app i have on my phone is TrainPal it brings all the cheapest fares up and times, with money off every now and then as well.

Yep.... I had my Annual Gold Card in, but the Family and Friends gives a larger discount.
Yep, see it's £47.60 on family and friends... 10:36 out 18:29 back.
Would this normally be any cheaper split ticketing via Wolves Elfs?
Even if youd booked a couple of months ago wouldve been nearly £40.
Wolves is cheaper but a longer journey
Thanks for the help!
The journey is an hour longer maximum.
