Just caught up on this this thread as I'd not seen it before and I was going through the comments I'm thinking, "but how does this actually work? Where does the money come from to pay the dividends?".
Turns out it doesn't work and the money comes from the fact it's a Ponzi scheme - as correctly identified by the mysterious deleted user.
Shocked that it was allowed to happen in the first place to be honest.
I invested a whopping £20 in this which 18 months later I turned into £44. Livid, well that’s my investment career finished, back to accumulators..
Did you cash in the £44? If you didn't then I would suggest that what actually happened was you gave them £20 which they took and spunked up the wall and you got nothing - and were likely never going to get anything.

Indeed, skybet and bet365 have been doing the same to me for years...

A group of MPs has written to Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden calling for a public inquiry into the collapse of gambling website Football Index.
They say it is "a scandal" and shows the need to reform the gambling sector.
The firm has suspended operations and appointed administrators, sparking an outcry from punters whose money is still locked up in the business.
There are reports gamblers could lose more than £90m, with some now seeking legal advice about possible claims.
