89% of tickets bought for the club’s play-off final at Wembley were purchased online and that number was 83% for Charlton’s home leg semi-final against Doncaster Rovers
True, but wasn't it basically the only way you could get tickets for those two matches.
So no walk-ups at all allowed on a midweek match day after people finish work?
I know the old scroat and his lackey complain that fans customers cost him money but I'm sure Airman has the figures that show every bum on a seat contributes SOME money to the club.
Must be the only club in the world that actively make it difficult to come and watch the team
Perhaps Meire has returned? What next, no football to be played this season as there was clearly no demand for match day ticket purchases in the last month?
Maybe it means that the main ticket office will be closing 2 hours before kick-offs,but you will still be able to purchase tickets from the additional booths which normally only open only on matchdays, the statement is very poorly worded & was this fully discussed at the fans forum?
Based on the demand for the play offs when it was near impossible to get through by phone & the ticket office was closed. You couldn't make it up.
Quite. Possibly they are trying to eliminate the casual staff used to sell tickets on matchdays as a cost saving but as a business proposition that’s insane.
So walk up sales between 1pm and kickoff are prohibited by the owner and management of Charlton Athletic Football Club. I know that this is obvious, but I’m spelling it out because this decision is as incredible as it is reprehensible.
Fans make last minute decisions for a variety of reasons, all of them valid and understandable.

That would be a safety issue as the north stand ticket office can’t cope on its own.

On a match Saturday: Phone lines close at 1pm. Walk-ups 10am - 4pm. What isn't mentioned is what the ticket office opening hours will be for an evening kick-off. Normal evening closing at 5pm. Would make a guess they'll stay open until 9pm.

As others have now said, it’s been changed since I first read it. I’ll l leave opinions re proof reading to the rest of you!

15 minutes after full time seems a bit short, if there was a queue of people would they really close the shutters before they were all served?

I think we all know the answer as to whether Roland would pay to have the ticket office left open a bit longer...

The 1pm matchday closure must be a typo error.

Actually it's 'proofreading' - all one word.
