I personally think American Pie is too long. It's a classic and has a wonderful melody, but would be better if it came in around four minutes. Way too many choruses.
Metallica - One Iron Maiden - The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner My Dying Bride - The Barghest O'Whitby Moonsorrow - Tulimyrsky Bathory - One Rode To Asa Bay
Too many choices. Here are my top five songs over 26 minutes:
Deluge Grander - Inaugural Bash Dark Buddha Rising - Enneathan KTL - Theme Pharaoh Sanders - The Creator Has A Master Plan Blue Gene Tyranny - A Letter From Home (ok this one falls 10 seconds short, whatever. maybe replace with Autechre - elyc6 0nset)
Tab in the Ocean - Nektar Gutter Ballet - Savatage Singring and the Glass Guitar - Todd Rundgren's Utopia. Roads to Moscow - Al Stewart Arriving somewhere but not here - Porcupine tree.
in no particular order Through the fire and the flames - dragonforce Comfortably numb (album version) - pink floyd Steel the light - q5 Blue monday (original 12" single) -new order Long road out of eden - eagles Freebird - lynyrd skynyrd Slow train - status quo Heroin - new model army
