One of the best scenes in cinema history:

“I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain”

Been toying with the idea of getting a Blade Runner themed tattoo for a few years (the Mrs doesn't like tattoos) .This is making me more determined.

He was in one of the worst movies I ever saw, Blind Fury. So bad it was entertaining, as a blind, white Vietnam-Vet samurai out to help the downtrodden.

Loved that film! Starring one of my other cult faves - Randall "Tex" Cobb.

He'll always be the Hitcher to me.

    So brilliantly menacing.

    RIP.

They cast him as the face of Guinness cos he wore black and had white hair - thus looked like a pint of Guinness in human form!

  • Was only watching Hobo With A Shotgun recently. I think I'll prefer to remember him at his peak in BR instead.

    RIP Rutger.

Yep, the book the film is loosely based on, Do Androids dream of electric sheep, was continuously out at our library. I finally read it about six years ago.
    RIP Rutger x

I remember him playing king vortigern with an American accent in the tv film Merlin starring Sam Neil that I loved when I was a kid. Then saw him in blade runner, he improvised the line “like tears lost in rain” iirc. Great actor
