3 points... low crowds... very depressed vibe around the club...
Sorry to be the harbinger of doom, but this transfer window has been an utter shambles leaving us with a weaker team against some very very strong teams, Lee Bowyer is excellent but he will need every ounce of his magic to keep us up.
Roland will be laughing as we get utterly turned over by several premiership level teams in the making and Bowyer will have to be some man-management to raise our player's games big time to compete.
A total of 8 points, although we might nick a draw against Forest, too. I feel like Stoke have been the draw specialists since Nathan Jones took over, and I think we can go one better at Barnsley than we did last season (so long as we don't start too slowly this time!). Reading aren't what they used to be, but I'm feeling strangely optimistic for the Brentford game. I imagine that Blackburn will be close-fought, but maybe just a week too early for us to get any points out of it. Once we start to gel a little bit more with the newest additions (hopefully by the end of August), wins shouldn't be too much of a rarity for us.
Still, however many points we have after our first few games, it doesn't really mean too much: the last time we were in the Championship, we had a tough-looking start to the season, but managed to amass 8 points from our first 4 games (QPR, Derby, Forest and Hull), only to be relegated by as many as 9 points; whereas, last season, in League One, we only got 5 from 5 at the start of the season, and still went up!
These predictions assume that Chuks will be available, however; otherwise, you can take-off about 3 or 4 of those goals...
Cannot make any predictions until the cavalry have arrived - start with a midfield of jfc and pratley and we will be lucky to grind out a couple of draws

Similar start to last season I think, we desperately need players but I just hope we don’t give such a head start to everyone else.
Home win v Forest & draws against Brentford & Blackburn

There will be a couple of lucky 1-0 wins, but other than that it looks a fairly straightforward start to the season.
Stoke City (H): 0-0 draw (1)
Barnsley (A): 2-2 draw (1)
Nottingham Forest (H): 0-2 loss (0)
Brentford (H): 3-1 win (3)
Reading (A): 1-2 win (3)

I reckon 3-4 points, and this is a very difficult division to come back from after a slow start.
We are a long way behind even last years squad (Beilik, Cullen, Aribo, Bauer and Grant gone and have we really bought anyone of similar ability in?).
I’ll go 8, assuming a few more midfielders arrive.
