Conor Gallagher - Signed for Spurs (p84)

Rewatched the West Brom game, just to watch him closely and am convinced that he will be pushing for the England squad by the time of the next WC.
Sounds like a big shout, but the kid has everything, wonderful touch, can pass the all, decent pace, great engine, scores goals, plays on the half turn and always seems to be able to find pockets of space to work in.
What I loved about him was that he was clearly being targeted with some heavy challenges on Saturday, and he wouldn't take the bait - just gave himself a moment to compose himself, got up and got on with the game.
Lampard has already shown that he will give young players a chance, and with another six months of football inside him, I shudder to think what kind of progress CG will have made by then.7 -
Could somebody please ask this guy to bump into Manuel Pellegrini and ask him if we can keep Cullen all season as well.Callumcafc said:3 -
Real question is what areas of his game do we think he could improve on?
For me, he sometimes leaves his position exposed to chase down lost causes... So yeah if he could tidy that up a little bit... But that is probably the only thing I would say.
Love him. He can stay for his whole career if he likes.1 -
Cant find the post anymore but saw a tweet yesterday involviny Fikayo Tomori showing a photo of an old Chelsea U11 team with a trophy at Stamford Bridge prior to a first team game

Would find it strange as Conor is at least 2-3 years younger than some of those!1 -

Not the one you're referring to but 9 of these kids have made it as pros including Gallagher.ForeverAddickted said:Cant find the post anymore but saw a tweet yesterday involviny Fikayo Tomori showing a photo of an old Chelsea U11 team with a trophy at Stamford Bridge prior to a first team game

Dont know if its been mentioned anywhere but Gallagher is back in the England U21 squad
Must have done something right last call up as wasnt he drafted into the U20s because of injury?
Doesnt look as though Leko has been called up for U20 duty0 -
You could see he had something special about him from his cameo at Ewood Park. Couple of lovely touches and his blocked shot won us the corner that Lyle scored the winner from.
Even since then he has gone on to be far better than anyone (even the coaches at both clubs) could’ve imagined. Sometimes it just clicks for special talents and Gallagher is undoubtedly one of them.3 -
Snap, Callum - I thought "This boy's a bit special" that afternoon too.Callumcafc said:You could see he had something special about him from his cameo at Ewood Park. Couple of lovely touches and his blocked shot won us the corner that Lyle scored the winner from.

Connor started as a winger. Decent pace and touch, two good feet. May have fallen into the "No end product" nonsense. I wonder who converted him to CM? Spotted his desire to put his foot in. Whoever, we'll done.0

First goal from Foden...0

He has to leave Man City soon, he would be knocking on Southgates door if he gets some playing time somewhereForeverAddickted said:First goal from Foden...3 -
He's taking the piss out of this game... Far too good for the U21sjacob_CAFC said:

He's still only 19 and he will be getting an awful lot from being around the likes of Sterling, De Bruyne, the Silvas etc. - David will be off soon and he'll get more of a chancejacob_CAFC said:

Only concern with that is I wont be surprised if City just go and buy a David Silva replacementmoutuakilla said:

Think if Foden was sold or went on loan to another League team he'd be able to show that he actually deserves to be that replacement
Still question if all his cameos are enough to prove that0
