I wonder if Nathan Jones regrets leaving Luton for Stoke. Missing out on the joy of seeing HIS side promoted (and indeed title winners), and now facing far more expectation and pressure at a club which expects to be challenging for promotion and has started this season badly after a mediocre 2018/19.
Defensive errors at one end, combined with poor finishing at the other, he desperately needs a win
Butland, Ward, Ince, Clucas, Allen, Hogan. All with decent Premiership experience (maybe excluding Hogan). Batth, Gregory, Woods all experienced Championship players.
One could be forgiven, pre match, for casting a slightly envious eye in their direction when compared to our players.
Fast forward 90 minutes and I honestly wouldn’t take any of their players over ours. Stoke are a team in trouble. They have too many ‘stars’ who I guess are on a lot of money but there was very little cohesion or team spirit. OK on the ball but pretty lazy off it. Seems Jones may be a little out of his depth in managing such egos and issues. Vokes warmed up most of the second half and appeared pretty pissed off that he got no game time at all.
Compare their collective effort with that of our team. There was no comparison and I can honestly see it being a tough season for them. Very proud of our team and staff today.

Woah let's not get too carried away!
It's fun, though.
Love Bowyer though. He’s not put a foot wrong, and he’s building what looks like another great side.
it’s what I’ve been brought up on supporting Charlton and nothing makes makes me prouder.

Bowyer’s win percentage better that the great Jimmy Seed’s??
