This is great news and RBS should be congratulated. Alison Rose has 25 years' experience with the bank and is widely-expected to be appointed within the next few weeks. It's a real, progressive step for RBS and puts them in stark contrast to all of its main rivals, none of whom have ever appointed a female CEO. I think RBS should be congratulated. This is great news.
And, as RBS is 62% owned by the state, we should all be cheering. Because, this will save them loads of money.

Of the parties in the House of Commons, only the Conservatives and Labour have men as leaders; SNP, LibDems, DUP, Plaid Cymru, the Green Party and Change UK have female leaders.
The two biggest parties in the House of Lords, the Northern Ireland Assembly and the Scottish Parliament have female leaders.
In the European Parliament, of the ten parties representing British constituencies, four have elected women leaders, four have elected male leaders, two haven't elected a leader.
And the Head of State is a woman!

I reckon she does it with interest.
Unless your a daily mail reader/on line and you mean it !
RBS should not need congratulating for picking the best candidate to be CEO.
It's farcical that it even needs highlighting.
who let her out of the kitchen tell her to get back there
