Under 18's updates - 25/26 season (from p77)

It seemed to be a very weak side but difficult to know for sure as no team news was available anywhere.Paddy Powell said:The U18s got thumped 0-5 at home to Cardiff City, this afternoon.0 -
There used to be good coverage of the U18’s.
As well as season ticket holders getting access to Saturday morning games at Sparrows Lane, we would get some live coverage of games, and very frequently highlights on Charlton TV. Now there is much less coverage on the internet in terms of information, results and line ups.
There have been cutbacks which is understandable, however the football aspect of the club is surely a fundamental thing and the word should be spread.
Communication resources, and promotion of the football stuff is more significant than further information about corporate events in lounges packed with wealthy people being served vile and inedible ‘delicious’ food.
As a very long term follower of Charlton at this level (I used to phone in U18 match reports to Mark and Clive’s Sunday evening wireless programme back in the day) it is a bit saddening that our excellent academy doesn’t have a higher profile amongst our support.9 -
Well said, Seth.
Totally agree re the club's emphasis on the the hospitality etc to the detriment of why we all support this famous football club ..the football itself, including the 1st team players of the future.3 -
Creating a separate Charlton Academy feed on X/Twitter seemed a good idea but pointless as nobody from the club seems to be posting anything on it. Cardiff posted a report on their website shortly after the match. Charlton will get around to it tomorrow.
Coverage of the the women's team is awful too.3 -
Won 4-0 at Millwall, this morning. All the goals were scored in the first half.13

You were right about this. It was definitely a weakened team, probably with today's game in mind.Crusty54 said:

NOTHING like beating the Spanners !Paddy Powell said:Won 4-0 at Millwall, this morning. All the goals were scored in the first half.
Well done, Young Guns !0 -
Micah Mbick bagged a hat-trick as Charlton's U18s enjoyed derby day delight with a comprehensive 4-0 win over Millwall on Tuesday.
Patrick Casey was also on the scoresheet for the young Addicks, who scored all four of their goals during a ruthless first-half display.

Casey and M'Bick scoring more I assume.0

No Casey - he was a sub for the under 21s yesterday. Only watched the first half. M'Bick scored 2 penalties.Athletico Charlton said:Casey and M'Bick scoring more I assume.
Two other great goals but don't know the scorers. No team sheet on the website or X/Twitter.
4-2 at the break.
Peterborough's second goal was gifted to them with awful back passing.4 -

Bit of a rarity this result; three goals and neither Casey of M'Bick scored.0 -

Someone at the club was telling me about him last summer and saying he has a huge amount of potential so I am glad to see him being tied down for a little longer. Could be one to look out for in the futureclive said:5 -
Had not really heard a lot about him until this versions Football ManagerSwisdom said:

Good potential in that, and one of our best academy prospects, turned into a good CAM.
Hopefully it's one they've got right and he's not the second coming of Cherno Samba.0 -
The little I have seen of him has not been disappointing considering all the contexts.
File under interesting prospect.2
