We've always been little old Charlton, nice club, everyone's second team blah, blah, blah......
Opposing fans dislike us? GOOD!
That is the only way we will get something out of this season. Long may it continue. It wasn't that long ago (or was it)? That we had a similar approach. Play to your strengths, and ours seems to be spirit
Leeds fans like what he has done for us and already are lining him up to replace Bielsa if he leaves at year end.
That is absolutely true of some Leeds fans for certain, my general manager is extremely envious of us, and is already talking to various people to get him in. I told him to forget it as he’s Charlton born and bread and loves it here.

Fortunately for us I think that Leeds will get up this year. I can’t see Bielsa leaving under those circumstances. I can however confirm that Lee is very popular with Leeds fans.
Whether we like it or not Bowyer comes with a reputation. He may have kept his nose clean for 10 years or more now, but your average football fan is never going to let that get in the way. Once opinions are formed, it's very difficult to shift them. All Bows can do is keep up the good work.
I seem to recall a number of ours questioning if he should be involved with us when fat Carl brought him in.
comments about not being able to look past what happened at Leeds etc
He carrie's a lot of baggage from his past, some of us were very concerned about him being associated with the club when Karl brought him in. He does not have exactly a saintly past .. recreational drugs, the Woolwich McDonalds, the Leeds incident with Woodgate , Newcastle incident, comments attributed to his mum about dating an Asian girl, plus being a determined gritty midfielder with the Premier League record for yellow cards, a disputed 100 yellows. Those of us concerned have been won over, I at his appearance at Bromley addicks with Karl.
We have the advantage of being exposed to the grown up Bowyer, opposition fans haven't, I am not at all surprised opposition fans are against him.
Although Kap10 has maybe had a few autocorrect issues, I have to agree. Lee has a chequered past to put it mildly. He has obviously grown up a lot since then, but it's not surprising that other clubs remember the bad times. If another champ club had Muscat as their manager, we'd say he was scum, regardless of what he'd done in the last ten years.

I’d still say that Mascat was scum even if it turned out that he was the son of god!

It's not his job to be nice, or popular. It's his job to win games, and that's exactly what he's out to do. I don't recall off the top of my head any opposition managers making strong complaints about him or his style which says to me that he's not crossed any unspoken managerial guidelines.

Annoyed me the other week with the interview with Bianca Westwood when the interview started with talking about his bad boy days
Just seems a tag that he's never truly going to be able to shift
i.e. Colin Murray was talking about Stendel's brilliant record @ Oakwell and Bowyer turned round saying that he thought ours was good at the Valley!!
Am sure Colin knows that but Bowyer definitely doesnt get the recognition for it, especially with the budget he's got

"Yes, we stopped for a McDonald's" said Robinson.
I bit my lip rather than saying " are you not still banned, Lee?"
Interesting take from @Kap10
He made mistakes and the things he did were wrong but some were when he was a teenager, he has matured a lot since then.
His team plays a bit like he did and I've no complaints about that cos he was a great player.
