He does seem to have a great engine. Not only playing every game for us, but also the full 90
I noticed he was still chasing down the Fulham defenders at the end of Saturday’s game, which the commentator then pointed out. He must be one of our fittest players.
He has a great engine and his fitness levels are obviously very high. As Scoham pointed out, the commentators said on Saturday how he was still chasing them down right at the end of the game. He has a fantastic attitude towards the game and the club and obviously his application in his work rate is something that Bowyer loves.
However, we have to be careful and mindful of the fact that he is only 19 years old. It's his first experience in men's football, having also played in not only every game this season, but the vast majority of minutes, including the gruelling Saturday - Wednesday - Saturday fixtures. I am sure when Kayal is back and fit, we may see Gallagher being rested for a game or so every so often. He is also on 3 yellow cards, so as long as he doesn't miss Millwall (I think he is going to shine in that game), his 'rest' could come when he reaches 5 yellows.
In terms of his yellow cards, the best possible 'break' for him would probably be to pick up his 5th against West Brom and that would allow him to miss Preston but be back in time for Millwall. It gives him 2 weeks off, just after having to go away on international duty, and then coming straight back in to play 3 games in 7 days again. He is then back just before he goes away on international duty in November. Comes back to us and ready to play a big part in the lead up to Christmas fixtures.
After the November international break, we have 10 games in 39 days. It's going to really test our squad so we need them ready and that means giving players a little rest for one game every so often, for the greater good of our season.
That time between the 26th October and 9th November is perfect for him to have his breather, and he only misses one game in that time.
In a small way its a bit frustrating we dont have the FA Cup 1st Round anymore
A pointless cup game would be a great way to rest Conor but thats not going to happen until January and after the Christmas rush
And if we get drawn against a big club, they'll be no way we will not play a strong team. Bowyer won't mind about going out the cup, but he won't want to get embarrassed.

Doesn't have to be a top team to get embarrassed about knocking us out. We don't do Cups! I give you, Wycombe, Sheffield United, Colchester, and even under Bowyer, Doncaster 😉

Agreed, however the side Bowyer put out that day against Doncaster was very weak. The only two senior players who played that day that are still here and involved this season are Phillips and Sarr.

And has been told he'll earn his place back for doing so.
This thread is so people can see how Charlton players get on internationally not ever other player
Dont know about Gallagher or Leko for the England Youth Team

There’ll be no break coming Conor’s way for a little while yet.
Yes, if you are a mini Bowyer.
