Matthews: 6.5 - got a full 90min in. not too much to offer going forward and goes backwards with his passing too often. Looked like Swansea was targeting him but Matthews did okay defensively. nice sliding tacking at the very end to show he still had legs late in the match.
Lockyer: 6.5 - good performance overall
Pearce: 6.5 - same as Lockyer. He was popping up with the ball in their third more often and should be more in the box to latch onto our hopeful crosses.
Purrington: 5.5 - ran into dead ends all night long. had a poor game for his usual standards. also poor passing.
Field: 7 - put himself about in midfield. Probably our best tackler on the day at center park. Hes very conservative and defensive so when we went looking for the equalizer he was not suited.
Oztumer: 6 - saw a lot of the ball early on, but lacked any creativity. When he did have a chance to run at the defense he opted to pass simply. Being so small, he needs to find a better way of cutting inside with the ball at his feet. wants to sit in the middle but doesnt do enough to warrant that spot on the pitch.
Cullen: 6 - as always runs his arse off. Some decent tackles. Tempo was a bit off as everytime he received in possession the pass was just out of his reach.
Gallagher: 5.5 - tried hard, but nothing stuck to his foot when he got into dangerous areas. You could see he wanted to make things happen so badly, but he should be on the end of the creativity rather the kick starter. a few aimless passes after dribbling into circles.
Leko: 6.5 - great goal. early on he was very lively and running all over the pitch. faded a bit. Would have liked to see him stay on instead of Bonne.
Bonne: 4.5 - really really disappointing. One minded striker that always wants the perfect ball in behind to latch onto. Won a few headers but not directed well. Missed a sitter from just 4 yards out after we hit the crossbar late in the game. As a striker you wont get any better opportunity than that, and i think he whiffed the kick?
Williams: 6
Aneke: 6 - won most his headers, but Bonne was too far away to offer anything dangerous.

Oztumer: 6.5 though not really his fault, he was constantly in the right places but players chose the more difficult pass time and time again.
Cullen: 6.5 not as good as he has been, passing was often wayward today.
Gallagher: 8 Proper CM
Leko: 5 What a goal. Traps the ball well, can handle two players on his own... Then doesn't release it and tries to take on a third. Play it simple FFS.
Bonne: 6.5 Worked hard, got in good positions only for Leko to lose the ball. Time and time again.
Referee: 4 bottle job
Williams: 6.5 standard williams performance
Aneke: 7 offers so much more than Leko, unlucky not to win a penalty.
Forster-Caskey: n/a great to see him out there, think he's got something we're missing. Proved he's still capable, but we have too many CM players. Grab a youth striker for the bench, what's the worst that will happen?

Phillips: 6 - nothing to do except pick the ball out of the net
Matthews: 6 - solid enough debut
Lockyer: 7 - continues to impress; classic yellow card taken for the team
Pearce: 7 - rough and tough
Purrington: 6 - always a 6 or 7
Field: 6 - prefer him to Pratley holding but presumably can’t slot into defence when required
Oztumer: 6 - love watching him but never had an outlet in front
Cullen: 6 - unusually quiet night
Gallagher: 7 - continues to impress, amazing work rate
Leko: 7 - outstanding finish, usual mix of the sublime and ridiculous otherwise
Bonne: 5 - offered very little but had no support
Williams: 5 - no impact, rarely had the ball facing opposition goal
Aneke: 6 - surely has to start soon, built like a no.9

Matthews: 5.5 didn't impress me, tackle late in the game aside. thought he was a bit weak
Lockyer: 6 not quite at it for the first goal but mostly did okay. -1 for that shot
Pearce: 7 mostly did well. we missed Naby's leadership and organisation for that corner though
Purrington: 6 got forward plenty but didn't quite deliver the crosses we wanted
Field: 8 MOTM thought he had a cracking good game
Oztumer: 6.5 thought his movement was intelligent and he offered plenty of cover too - players weren't on his wavelength
Cullen: 6 had a properly awful game for 60 minutes then came alive somewhat, not quite enough from him today though
Gallagher: 7 good as ever. has come to be so dependable
Leko: 6 i missed his goal, but have marked him up from a 4 given he scored. that aside, was not good at all
Bonne: 6.5 thought he brought a lot of good hold-up play, jumping and running - certainly not just a finisher and doing nicely as a Taylor understudy
Williams: 6 not his day
Aneke: 7 offered plenty of effort and aerial threat, we were unlucky not to profit from his knockdowns
