Very strange. He's leaving, ok fair enough but will...... "step down from his role as head coach following The Lions’ trip to Middlesbrough on Saturday."
So he's off but will stay in charge for 2 more games?
Charlton fans have a mutually felt antipathy towards Millwall, but in football terms, within the local football culture of contacts conversations and encounters I am sure that Neil Harris is respected and well regarded, and he extends that respect to others he knows in the game, including those associated with Charlton.

I genuinely would be very surprised if he would want the Charlton job given his Millwall history.

Harris is a top fella, lives up the road from me, drinks in the same pub and I played football and cricket against him as a kid. For a spanner he has said some nice things about us as a club in the past
Just seen on Sky sports that he's leaving my mutual consent in two games time 😳. Must be the first time that a manager leaving by mutual consent has two more games and doesn't go immediately. 🤔
Blimey! I'm gobsmacked. Millwall are doing brilliantly compared to us. Maybe Harris feels he is too passionate about the club to manage them on a long term basis, although he was a shrimper in his early days. Despite his comparative success I don't want him managing Charlton.

Always liked Harris, he was a bloody good footballer until he got cancer, thankfully he recovered.
Definitely not a “football” decision. For whatever reason he’s decided to go he’s honourable enough not to leave Millwall managerless so is staying on for two games despite the announcement. Can only see this as being driven by NH so let’s hope the reasons are not health related.

Robins I suspect would be in play but I don't know if he'd want an instant return. Ryan Lowe and Steven Schumacher probably solid contenders

Swindon seem like a completely dysfunctional club off the field so it's probably a good fit for Holloway's madness.
He'd sort out our squad in no time.
Always liked Harris. Seemed to have too much class for the Turkish flag wavers IMO.

I like him even more now.
