I don't believe that he is really injured. It's sounded a bit odd from the start. My bet is that we have made a deal for him and the buying club have insisted that he mustn't play.
Please tell me you’re having a bit of fun... otherwise this has to be one of the most crazy and ridiculous things I’ve seen for a long time
Things might be different now. The new owners might make him a better offer, and we'll never know the truth. I might seem a bit crazy to some of you but it does seem fishy to me. Whatever the case, I think the idiots who slagged him off on Twitter have a lot to answer for and I wouldn't blame him if he were looking for a transfer.
Personally, I think that if he wasn’t injured, then Bowyer would definitely have played him yesterday.
I still fail to understand what actually is apparently ‘fishy’ with the whole Taylor situation.
He was subject to multiple bids in the summer where Brentford were offering him money he has never ever been close to getting before. People will say how could they offer him X amount when no deal was agreed, but that’s how things go in football, people talk and information is passed around. The fact is, he didn’t leave and he is still here.
Once all of that happened, he played a further 5 games in the league, scoring 4 more goals. He went out on international duty and done his lateral collateral ligament in his right knee. Was in a brace for just over a month, gets back out and when we were hoping to have him back, has a setback in training where it just didn’t feel right.
They’ve then had to build him back up again, make sure he’s strong enough and ready enough to rejoin training properly this week. Worse thing they could’ve done was risk him and he’s out for another 3 months. The aim is he will be ready to be in the squad against Middlesbrough on Saturday. These things happen in football, there is nothing fishy about it.
Now hopefully, with the new owners and once the EFL have given the all clear, Bowyer will get a new contract. This means Taylor will be offered a new one too. Taylor was never going to sign a new deal with us without Bowyer being sorted first, and that’s before the money side comes into it.
We just need to be a little more patient people, good things are coming.
Just to clarify my position in this debate. When I originally posted, it was with reference to the lack of info regarding how, where and when the injury occurred.....that’s all. Others have somewhat taken my point of view further and taken it down another route, even suggesting that there is/was some underhanded stuff going on. It was never my intention to suggest anything other than the (at the time), lack of clear info regarding the injury itself and it being a bit mysterious ......an injury which I am sure was genuine enough but not fully explained at the time I started the thread. That’s all folks!

Therefore I am sure he was injured.
