Guys, we were only there in 2016, its not like its yonks ago. Copy and paste all the ticket nonsense from then with additional moaning to cover the extra season ticket holders who might miss out. Summary:
- 16/17 was a Tuesday night and we sold out the away end (2k ish?) - We got the upper tier only - We will get held behind after the final whistle to allow the spanners to clear - We will probably lose
i've been to the den three times and three defeats so far. no st for the past few years but am pretty desperate to go to this one.....have even booked annual leave for the monday as i know how hanging i'll be!
anyone with a ticket hookup would be greatly appreciated
Are you expecting the police to keep us in for 2 days afterwards
maybe they're selling the upper tier to millwall fans
Firstly they wont sell out the home end and secondly if they did the worst thing they could do would be sell Millwall fans the upper, how much shit would they throw on the Charlton fans below lol
It's their cup final, it will be their biggest league gate of the season.

Leeds claimed that one last weekend. You'll have to make do with 'Secondary Cup Final'.
Apologies in advance.
16,311 (2,212 Leeds)
We'll wait & see.
If you bring less than Leeds it will be embarrassing.
So we’re ok to talk about attendances now mate? Just checking what’s ok with you.

Spanner on Spanner tiff alert!!!!! 🔧 🔧
Will it be a wrench if they fall out?
Hope they don't socket to one another, mind you their fanbase has previous at Wembley 😉.
No reason for us not to get the lower tier, apart from Millwall shitting it about us out singing them. So upper tier only is probably right. We'll sell out either way. I won't have enough points to get a ticket, but am confidently predicting 3pts will be heading back to SE7
Last time you played at ours and had the bottom tier you threw a flare on the pitch and a couple of seats got torn out and thrown. The club are so paranoid about trouble that could be enough for you to not get the bottom tier next time.
Looks like you've been rumbled there @YTS1978 . I didn't grass it was you with the flare. Honest. So please don't tell anyone it was me throwing the seats.
Went to the New Den a few seasons ago. Charlton were given all of one end. TVs chained to the wall. Crap ground. If you go and are in the Lower stand be careful as the lunatics love to come in and punch anyone in their site. Stewards do nothing!
I was in the lower tier for the 0-0 a few games back and can confirm that no Millwall fans came into the stand to lunch anyone. We acted up, few flares were thrown and the OB in riot gear came in and shoved everyone back from the corner.
Spot on. Not sure what game this dream machine fella was at
Bowyer didn't make the full 90 - quite happily organise a whip round if he gets another red to pay the fine. Snow would be nice too.
Drinking in Tropics before the game, then left the boozer to snow!
One of my old watering holes
Four of us in the boozer, my spanner mate pointed over to his goons the other side of the bar and said 'Gazza, you're alright, but don't join me over there saying you're Charlton'".

I hope you took no notice, went over and steamed into them 😉.

Knocked them spark out onto platform 2 of South Bermondsey station.

She also said she isnt 100% sure until they get confirmation but she thinks its just the Lower Tier we will recieve(which means no chance of general sale and probably wont get past the first few stages)
Surely you mean Upper Tier
She said lower to me
And then "left a bit", "up a bit", and "oh yes, just there"?
The old Den was intimidating, it was also a dump. Not sure there was much to be nostalgic about. The new Den is so boring, just picturing it will give you insomnia. I recall joining a department as a deputy manager that were looking to organise an event there. I managed to put a stop to that though
You've clearly got it bad. An obvious 8 year old trapped in an angry middle aged white man's body
Take a deep breath, Mr policy breaker. Aka Mr Fairweather.

Thanks for checking. I can confirm that discussing attendances is fine. However, if it's 'policy' not to then it's probably best to abide by your policy unless you change your policy for no other reason than results have picked up. You must, however, then think up a retort to cover for your policy breaking ways
Genuine questions amongst the dick swinging...last time i was there (2-1 loss/solly sending off) we were all hurded onto trains at South Bermondsey after the game. What other exits are there out of the away end? This time I'd want to go New Cross.

And the toilets will be trashed meaning they will be locked at full time......meaning you will just have to piss up the wall (like I had to) because the stewards wont let you go into any of the other toilets around the ground which are all working just fine.

Once they let you leave after holding you back for 30 mins (which I reckon is against your civil liberties) you can walk around the ground & exit that way.
Nothing wrong with hating Millwall. That is what they are there for, and they don't care. I get almost as much pleasure from a Millwall and Palace defeat as I do from a Charlton win. We all know what a perfect weekend is.

Sounds like it should be a policy to me. An unbreakable policy that should only be broken if convenient to do so.

I remember that one well, and was in the upper tier that day - where the seats and flares came down from. There was a bit of handbags in the bottom left hand corner, but the police sorted it out. Pretty sure i sat in the bottom tier the next season for a nil nil? Jose Riga had just taken over from Powell. No issues that day at all. Might as well shut the whole ground if MFC are worried about trouble ffs :-)
This is all building up nicely - love a bit of banter, me!
@bobmunro, I'm hoping that you can raise the banter levels for your side as it's been woefully lacking so far
People trying to pass anger and hatred off as banter just wont work
The hatred and anger is (with a few exceptions!) false, and really is banter. Millwall call us Trainspotters (which we take as a compliment - nothing wrong with trains I'll have you know) and we call them Spanners (and a few other things of course). I've lived with the curse pleasure for 35 years of having in-laws as Millwall fans and have managed to avoid actual violence so far. Just friendly local rivalry, until the time comes when they are rightly shut down!

THIS. cant believe some of the chat on here. Any fan who has half a brain knows there was always zero chance of getting lower tier seating. The idiot who threw the flare sorted that 7 years ago.
Must be the only ground in the country where the police shit themselves so much that they're worried about 2 sets of fans in DIFFERENT stands. If it was a wrap around stadium then i'd maybe understand it a bit but how can they not sell the lower tier when fans go in different stands?
Even Rangers and Celtic manage to segregate fans in the same stand.

Now, the Stripeys on the other hand!
I also surmised that the spewed hatred was more for effect and to puff ones chest out.
Having lived within a family that contains both Spanners and Anoraks you're better placed than most to get banter when it's used correctly. Some don't have such a luxury and miss the whole ethos of what banter is

Hate speech is so this week as well.
