That was my first thought too although it would make more sense for Denis Compton to be at the same function as Jim Laker.

The name looks like Jim laker, Surrey cricketer ? Persona sports book published 1 jan 1969 according to Amazon, weighs 1.74 pounds so should make a good door stop

Google Brian Luckhurst autograph......nothing like that.......it’s 100% not him.

Equally if you google Jim Laker's autograph it looks different.
