  • Purrington got beaten to the header and the ball slipped past Dills usually firm hand.
  • Phillips what have u done
Come on mate - if it wasn’t for him we would have lost. Purrington takes the blame for that one.
He done his job early on by saving shots, but dropped a clanger and cost us, yes Purrington should have done better as well but Phillips isnt in the clear because he done his job earlier in the game, he should have saved it.
    A clanger? Hardly.

It didn’t slip past his hand. He made a decent save but it ricocheted back off the post, onto his bonce and into the net.

About sums up our recent fortunes.
  • Not a single Charlton player got out quick enough and attacked that ball. Deserved what we got. Sat too deep for too long with aimless clearances giving possession away.
  • Get rid of all these league 1 defenders
  • Purrington is a nothing player at this level, so out of his depth

Both their goals by players Purrington lost running in at our left side.
  • I've said it all along Purrington is out of his depth
  • Thought we played well on the whole, lots of positives, pretty solid at the back against a team with a lot of height and who were good at pinging in dangerous balls. We defended a lot of corners well, Lockyer and Pratley immense today. Shame about the kick in the bollocks at the end but I don’t think Purrington or Philips could do much about it. A draw to stop the rot, Taylor back, Morgan looking good and Williams back next week.

  • I hate to call out a player that tries so hard but simply Purrington isn't good enough.
  • How was there 5 minutes added ended about 5.30 bleeding joke always happens when we’re winning can’t fault team performance looked dead Tuesday lack of
Confidence. But liked how sick players looked after they really care we will fight all the way.
  • Ffs. We play so deep we invited that.

This totally. Why sit back all the time. The ball is cleared and just comes straight back

First goal was Pratley’s man. Purrington should’ve done better with the second.
  • Purrington way too much of a scapegoat when others were at fault.

No bottle, none of them. You've got to weak mentally to concede as many mate goals as we have lately

Or totally knackered? Half the team was blowing with 20 minutes left.
Has that been the case for every late goal we've conceded then? How many is that in the last few months, 5?? Should probably work on the fitness then.

Purrington left with too much to do on his. He has to compete harder though. Dills virtually chucked it in, but the ball shouldn't have got as far as him. I count at least 5 red shirts marking fresh air.

Watching the post match analysis it's very fair to say Purrington not quite as bad as stated. We front loaded  the box leaving him swarmed.

    Exactly

TBF, most fks like that are arrowed in between the posts hoping for a touch. Few go back post.

    .
  • But at the end of the day, for all the fact he was left isolated, Purrington loses a one-on-one aerial battle with a smaller player, and Dillon gets beat by a fairly weak header at his near post.

  • Wish people would fuck off using the term bottlers

They're fucking low on confidence because they're being shafted by referees and injuries every week - Or can someone even fucking well explain how they werent bottling it against Brentford or Leeds!!!

That might aswell be years ago mate.
  • To be fair I watches from distance and saw the Hull player steaming into the box to get on the end of that header

Moment I saw him I knew it would be a goal - Purrington wouldnt have stood a chance beating someone to a header from a standing start like that
