  • Phillips: 7 Nothing he could do about the first goal, maybe could have done better with second. Kicking is improving and looked a bit better with the crosses.
Matthews: 7.5 Best I've seen him play for us, the fitness is improving massively! Put in a shift.
Lockyer:  6 Not the best game he has ever played needs a serious wake up call in coming weeks we need to stop conceding.
Sarr: 6 Sometimes he looks amazing other times a donkey, playing with a bit more confidence but still feel he has a mistake in him.
Oshilaja: 5 Dreadful game from Deji! Shocking passes definitely can't spread the ball like he has been trying to! Massive hole in the middle everytime where he should have been!
Doughty: 8.5 Puts in a shift every single time! Looks like the only player we have who can actually take on players with a bit of flair and very happy the lad got a goal!
Pratley: 7 Love the guy always puts in a shift wins tackles left right and centre. But couldn't pass to save his life today.
Morgan: 8 Put in a shift, ran his socks off puts in the effort even if he is maybe not a championship standard player quality wise!
Gallagher: 7 We looked lost for the 25/30mins he wasn't on the pitch until we got the goals at least. Definitely a big miss when he isn't there. Hopefully nothing serious injury wise.
Taylor: 7 Looked like a player short of fitness, but ran and put himself about right until the end. Bit of skill here and there shows the quality we've been missing!
Bonne: 9 2 goals and assist what more can you say! The lad keeps improving

Purrington: 7 Need Daughty further forward so glad he came on and played a decent game.

Referee: 4 Dreadful, seemed out of his depth along with the chubby lino on the left who didn't seem to have any clue!

Special Mention... Jay DaSilva... Didn't like that he didn't bother recognising the good reception he got from us! It's too hard to give a couple of claps back!

  • Covered end lower
Phillips: 7 - great shot stopper as usual but could sometimes be quicker with getting the ball up the pitch. Couple of times Doughty and Taylor were screaming for it and he didn't see/ignored them.
Matthews: 7.5- played really well and had a hand early on in pretty much all the goals.
Lockyer: 7 - Solid as ever.
Sarr: 7- Love this man, shame he couldn't get another goal, so close.
Oshilaja: 6.5- playing out of position doing pratleys job whilst pratley put there 9 in his pocket.
Doughty: 8.5- on any other day he would have been MOM, love his tenacity and how he chases and wins every ball. Need to keep this lad.
Pratley: 7.5- obviously given the job to snuff out the big number 9 and did it well.
Morgan: 7- seemed like a quiet game but seemed to do a bit of what Cullen does so well without really being noticed.
Gallagher: 7- gutted he went off as his legs become more important as a game goes on.
Taylor: 7- was dead on his feet at the end but his hold up play allowed Bonne to be more of a threat, did a job for the team.
Bonne: 9- can't say anything that hasn't been said, ran his socks off, physical when needed and deft of touch when needed and great legs at the end to get onto that ball for the assist.
Purrington: 6.5- just had to play his game and not try to hard to make up for past games which he did.
    Referee: 4- shite

  • Phillips: 7 No chance with their goals and kept us in it in the second half

    Matthews: 7 Solid

Lockyer: 7 (8 was my thought at the match but 6 having seen the highlights so split the difference)

    Sarr: 7 Solid

    Oshilaja: 7 Put himself about

Doughty: 7.5 Extra .5 for the goal. Delighted for him

Pratley: 8 An inspiration and my MOM. ran himself into the ground. Not sure why he handed the armband to Pearce because if anyone was captain in thought, word and deed it was Darren.

Morgan: 7 Anonymous for long periods but capable of producing a killer pass as he did for the first goal. Grew into it more after that.

Gallagher: 7 Little bit subdued by his own high standards probably because of the injury Bow said he's been carrying

Taylor: 7 Worked hard and took defenders with him. Getting back to his best

Bonne: 8 2 goals and an assist yet not my MOM unbelievably

Purrington: 6 Did his job and was unlucky when he made a run into the box

Referee: 5 Where did he get all that time added on from?

    Phillips: 7 - Steady enough.
Matthews: 8 - Some good defending at the back post and also when he came across to cover the centre-backs. Got forward ok too.
Lockyer: 8 - Won some good balls (including I think one that started the winning goal move?)
    Sarr: 7 - Defended well.
    Oshilaja: 6 - Did ok.
Doughty: 7.5 - Another good performance although he doesn't look good at the tip of the diamond. Much better wide left.
Pratley: 8 - Got stuck in. Centre-back, left of the diamond and then centre-mid.
Morgan: 7.5 - A couple of good tackles on top of good use of the ball.
Gallagher: 6 - Wasn't in it much but still showed glimpses.
Taylor: 7 - Good unselfish work including trademark clearances from his own area. We defend set pieces much better when he's around. Caused a nuisance up front too.
Bonne: 9 - The first goal was brilliantly done (thought it was going to bounce over the bar). Great work for the winner.
Purrington: 6.5 - Did well, won some headers and did his bit.
Referee: 7 - Didn't think he was whistle-happy at all (the opposite in fact). I like refs that let stuff go. He let Taylor and Morgan put in strong tackles early on and then let City do the same. Much prefer that kind of ref than the one we had v Hull.

Pearce: n/a - Got his nut on a few crosses.
    Solly: n/a
  • Phillips: 7 - Decent game, better kicking than usual.
    Matthews: 8 - Played well.
Lockyer: 8 - Also played well consistently our best defender this season.
Sarr: 7 - Steady game unlucky with header second half.
Oshilaja: 7 - Good use of the poor, really rate Deji.
Doughty: 8.5 - One of our own, great game, much better further forward when Ben P. came on.
Pratley: 9 - Joint Man of Match for me. Captains game, here there and everywhere.
Morgan: 8 - Another ''one of our own''. Brilliant through ball for Macca's first goal and some good tackles.
Gallagher: 7.5 - The usual classy performance until clogged by them!
Taylor: 7.5 - Lyle ran his heart out today. Please stay we need you badly!
Bonne: 9 - Joint MOM. Two great goals and super assist. One of the finds of the season!
Purrington: 7 - When he came on allowed Alfie to play further forward. Excellent contribution. Unlucky not to get Pen.
Referee: 6 - Seemed a long way away from play at times. Missed Penalty shout for us when Ben was bought down.

Pearce: n/a But sensible sub after recent games.
    Solly: n/a Ditto.

Oshilaja: 6 kept going getting better

Doughty:  7 good effort and battles

Pratley:  8 good performance never gives up

Taylor:  7 always a handful and played well

  • Phillips: 7 - not too busy but reliable as ever
Matthews: 7 - the best I’ve seen him play
Lockyer: 7 - caught out slightly on their first goal but, otherwise, another solid performance and a nice ball down the line in the lead up to Doughty’s winner. Our most consistent defender by some distance
    Sarr: 6 - did ok
Oshilaja: 6 - a few misplaced passes but did a job for the team in an unfamiliar position
Doughty: 7.5 - outstanding in the first half, a little quieter in the second owing to a change of position and our shape but his goal typified his determined performance
Pratley: 7 - held things together
Morgan: 7 - excellent vision and a fine range of passing. Got stuck in well and found himself on the end of some rough treatment
Gallagher: 6.5 - some nice play. Another player who was targeted
Taylor: 7 - held the ball up effectively and defended extremely well towards the end of the game
Bonne: 8: MoM - the match winner. Great work rate and works the channels well
Purrington: 6.5 - did pretty well when we were under pressure towards the end
Referee: 3 - poor and irritating. Booked Bonne for an honest challenge and let their players get away with some cynical fouls and two deliberate handballs. How we ended up with three bookings to their one is a mystery. A pedantic martinet, who seemed to be under the misapprehension that we’d all turned up to watch him
