That was a nightmare that day and the circumstances surrounding it could never be repeated at a major sporting event. 

Due to the club's dispute with West Midlands police there were no police officers on duty.  Just stewards.  

The fact that we won the game lit the touchpaper for them to storm the away fans exits after the final whistle. 

We were very fortunate to get away from there in one piece.

Think there was a thread on this already. Superb away days and ran by great people with so much dedication. Still c and drink with the old boys who we met on the coach in the old days to this day.

Remember them fondly.
Hull, Southampton and Newcastle are memorable trips. Playing against the young fans from opposition teams before watching the game.
