Even more controversially, I also thought Timothy Dalton was quite a good Bond, certainly far better than Brosnan and Lazenby.

Live and Let Die probably the best theme tune though.
Dalton was the best Bond. The closest to the book character.

So many good ones - Golden Eye, Skyfall, Gold Finger etc.  All the powerful female vocals...then you get Sheena Easton and For Your Eyes Only!   It's just wrong.  Bit like when someone thought changing the theme tune to EastEnders to be a more jazzy number was a good idea in the '90s.

Easton’s one was the biggest hit, I believe.

All The Time In The World. Arguably the most interesting Bond movie too.
    Most definitely this.

Not actually a theme tune but one of the best songs ever from a Bond movie. And very poignant to me now every time I hear it because after 37 years of happy marriage I know it's no longer true!

From Russia with Love. Because it's Matt Monro.

Lots of other good ones though.
Not bad for a bus driver.

I've never seen a Dalton Bond movie so I couldn't comment but I think they're serious.

Is that chorus to the verse

    "How many goals
    Are Charlton going to score
    Without Lyle Taylor?"?

I agree with @MrOneLung. Dalton’s Bond was intense and moody. He had an edge that none of the others have had.

Cubby Broccoli also said that Dalton played the role as was intended by Ian Fleming and was the ‘best’ Bond.

There was only one James Bond......all others after Connery were fill ins.........though Moore to his credit made a good stab at it.

Talking of which, recent BBC Dracula actor, Claes Bang would make a very good Bond

KD Lang recorded a theme for Tomorrow Never Dies called Surrender, which was rejected in favour of a forgettable piece by Sheryl Crow. They used Surrender for the closing titles instead.

He is absolutely brilliant as Dracula, but he's event older than Daniel Craig.

I can only assume you were not alive when he was playing the role......for years he WAS actually known as James Bond rather than Shaun Connery........he more or less invented the role and made it uniquely his own by which all others were to follow.
Most people from my generation have never really accepted those that followed, for us there was only ever one James Bond and forever will be only one James Bond and that is Shaun Connery’s portrayal as is embedded forever in our memories.
Shaun Connery creepy, WTF are you on about.....you obviously threw that in for effect.

Sadly I am old enough to remember. . He’s a hairy old man who sleeps with women 20- 30 years younger than himself . ( in the later films )
In any other walk of life that would be seen as creepy . Yuk . Oh and he isn’t even a very good actor in my opinion.
