Birmingham City's Chinese owners have no intention to sell the Championship club, says director Edward Zheng.
Ahead of a reported supporters protest, Zheng answered questions from a select gathering of invited fans at St Andrew's and apologised for the Blues board's previous lack of communication.

Maybe no one wants to buy them. They've had a few issues with previous chairman etc.0

They've finally spoken about the stadium structural issues, after months of silence. The lower tier of 2 stands have been closed all season0

That corrosion under the stands is shocking. Those stands are a similar age to the Alan Curbishley stand, so really shouldn't look like that at all. Can only presume a shocking lack of maintenance over there 25 life so far.0

Blues Trust is very encouraged to see movement towards a change of ownership at our club. We are confident of the validity of the story emerging on Thursday 5 May. Paul Richardson, a lifetime Blues supporter, has confirmed to the Trust that he and Lopez are expecting the sale to proceed and will be bringing investment to Blues if successful
We call on the current owners to complete the deal as soon as possible, and without complication, so that the club and its fans can look forward to a future they deserve.

Seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady has become a minority owner of Championship side Birmingham City.
The NFL legend, who retired from the sport in February, has "entered a partnership" with Blues' new owners Knighthead Capital Management LLC.
The 46-year-old will become chairman of a new advisory board at St Andrew's.
"Tom Brady joining the Birmingham City team is a statement of intent. We are setting the bar at world class," Knighthead co-founder Tom Wagner said.
"Tom is both investing [as well as] committing his time and extensive expertise. As chair of the advisory board Tom will have a direct impact on the club. The men's, women's, and academy teams are going to benefit from [his] knowledge. The goal that Tom has committed to is to make Birmingham City a respected leader in nutrition, health, wellness, and recovery across the world of football."
The club said Brady would also work closely with the board and the management team on global marketing efforts and the identification of new commercial partnership opportunities.

It’s just a front for the venture capitalist. We are going to see this more and more of this strategy I suspect, ‘famous and credible names’ being given minor stakes in clubs for free or at a huge discount to then give the buying firm credibility, fan excitement and media interest.1

He's going to give them "expertise".
Sadly the first lesson of "pick the ball up and chuck it to a teammate" won't go down very well0 -
They played a promo thing Tom Brady had recorded on Talksport this morning.
Alan Brazil said had he been to Birmingham before?!1 -
Brady was an ambassador for FTX as well. Let's hope this is more of a success.0

Full context:
Wagner also explained that he and his colleagues had no interest in multi-club ownership and that they had explored investing a minority stake in a London side but considered it overvalued before buying into Birmingham.

"Minority stake" wouldn't have been us, as a minority stake in us would have been about 1.5-2 million, max.
Reckon it's more likely to be a minority stake in Spurs or West Ham, someone like that1 -
Think the real issue is what he had to say at the world leaders summit (probably a meeting of the worst people in the world) about how the top clubs shouldn't have to pay for the rest of the pyramid.
The future of football sounding more closely related to American franchise and of course making sure they can tap into that vast market. With so many Americans involved in the premiership they want more power for the top clubs and the brand value that they have. I think they're determined to bring about a breakaway closed league.
I so hope Birmingham fail purely cos of this dickhead running them. They are starting to lose money at an alarming rate and if they don't go up within the next couple of seasons I can't see how it can sustain.
