Not my strong point as I am not very good at keeping tabs on the rumours of incoming players as others, but for those of you that don't wish to trawl through the rumours thread, I have compiled below the activity to date and rumours. I will try and keep on top of it
Back end of Dec - Jonathan Leko's loan comes to an end after he suffers season ending injury in QPR game on 21st Dec

Linked with a loan move for Sheff Utd's former Man City centre back Kean Bryan, Sheff Utd reportedly not standing in his way. Well touted youngster at Man City who moved to Sheff Utd, but he has only played 2 first team games for Sheff Utd. tweet on 15th jan from football journalist Alan Nixon we are still in for him
Also linked with a £2m bid for Birmingham City centre back Harlee Dean and Barnsley midfielder Alex Mowatt
Jan 10th - Steve Gallen appointed Director of Football. Good news for the club in that it gives the recruitment side much more clarity and transparency around signing and selling players, and in the interview on the club website, Steve confirms he is working on trying to bring 3 permanent signings in, and possibly 1 loan player.
Jan 13th - Darren MacAnthony, Peterborough Chairman, confirms Peterboro have accepted an offer from Charlton for Marcus Maddison and player is free to discuss personal terms. Darren also states that Peterborough have received offers for striker Ivan Toney, another player we were linked with in the summer transfer window
Jan 14th - Connor Gallagher recalled by Chelsea from season long loan, slightly unexpected and Bowyer says it's a bit of a kick in the teeth, but out of our control and we have to get on with it.
A couple of unsubstantiated rumours on the site about Burton midfielder Scott Fraser being a potential target after a tweet from a Burton fan emerges. Jack Marriott the Derby forward also linked, as well as Pompey midfielder Ronan Curtis
Jan 15th - Gallagher looks set for a move to Swansea after reports emerge they can cover more of his wages and potentially pay a loan fee. In addition, Chelsea may want him to play for a team at the top end of the Championship.
Beram Kayal's loan from Brighton officially terminated after he returned to parent club after having had surgery on an injury. It is also officially confirmed that Joe Ledley has been released after his 1 month deal that started on Dec 7th up at Middlesborough, he only played the first 45 minutes in 1-0 defeat and was consigned to the bench for the rest of his short term deal
I think that is it for now, apologies if I have missed anything/anyone

on main rumours thread, but Covered End believes we have met Lincoln City’s valuation for left back Harry Toffolo, Huddersfield also reportedly in for him.
We are also linked with Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty (update 16th Jan, it seems Sunderland are favourite to win his signature).
Football League Zone tweet that us and Brentford are looking at Newcastle midfielder Dan Barlaser, who is on loan at Rotherham
Jan 16th - AM
SLP reporting that we have put the deal for Marcus Maddison on ice after failing to agree personal terms, but we may revisit it later in the transfer window. Peterborough journalist Alann Swann had sent out a tweet late Jan 15th, saying personal terms hadn't been agreed but talks were ongoing, and Maddison had returned to the Posh to train with them on the 14th.
Will try to check back in at lunchtime, hopefully with some done deals to bring you all
a few new pages on the main thread when I woke up this morning, so for those of you that wanted to catch up quickly,
John Bostock re-emerges as a loan target (was talked about last week). Currently on loan at Forest from French club Toulouse
Strong rumours that Bowyer will put pen to paper today with one other player, those players range from Scott Fraser, Burton midfielder. Matej Vydra, Burnley forward, very proven at Championship level. Finally, Billy Gilmour, a Chelsea youngster who plays in midfield, presumably a loan
these were the main names I could pick up, plus, the potential of Josh Cullen signing a permanent deal on the basis that Lee Bowyer puts pen to paper
let’s see, fingers crossed for lunchtime
the very reliable Rich Cawley tweets that he doesn’t believe there will be any new signings ahead of the weekend
Goodnight, God bless and See you all on Monday
Sat 18th
Bowyer says after defeat to Preston that we need bodies in before Fulham game given the extent of our injury crisis and situation we find ourselves in. He also reveals the club flat out refused a player for player swap for Lyle Taylor. Only rumoured players that I could pick up that may constitute the swap were, follicly challenged Glenn Murray, 36 of Brighton who has scored an abundance of goals in his career, or Scott Hogan, forward who plays for Stoke. Nothing concrete as to either of these, but Murray was the stronger of the two
Fingers crossed Bowyer’s deal is done today after saying in his press conference on Thurs it’s almost there, but things were put on hold until after Preston.
Sunday 19th
Rumours on here and Twitter that we are looking at the Bristol Rovers duo of Johnson Clarke Harris (forward) and midfielder Ollie Clarke who captains them. Reluctant Nicko or whatever the twitter journo goes by, seems to think we’re in for them.
Tweets also emerge that Maddison may be a Charlton player by 1pm today (20th), but Cawley reckons he’s not heard anything on that front. Cawley does however say that he expects there may be bodies in this week. That’s hopeful as I would say he’s got his finger closest to the pulse so to speak
Redhenry posts that we may be in for a loan for Liverpool midfielder Pedro Chirrivella, who has been with their academy for a number of years, but as yet to break into the first team. Has seen loans with Go Ahead Eagles in Holland and UCD Extremadura in Spain
Daily Mail reporting Bristol City made a bid for Lyle Taylor, offering up Kasey Palmer (midfielder), plus one other
Most recent activity on main thread is that we may be back in for Rangers midfielder Greg Docherty as he may not have been able to agree terms with Sunderland
Rich Cawley tweets that if there are any signings to be made, he hasn’t heard anything about them being imminent, which would suggest nothing will happen today, certainly before the noon deadline for them to play against Fulham 2mo.
Not much more to report from y’day. There were a couple more bits about the initial fee for Clarke Harris, rumoured to be starting at £1m. One I missed from the other day was the potential loan of WBA midfielder Rakeem Harper.
Nothing more today I would imagine with it being game day. Fingers crossed for tonight, and then I would love to be on here all the time between now and the 31st with lots to report
Following the good news about Bowyer putting pen to paper on a 3 year deal, he states in his post match comments after the 0-0 draw with Fulham that he and Steve Gallen have given their list of targets to Matt Southall, it's with him now to work on, and he doesn't expect much to happen until the end of the window.
Watch this space
rumours gathering pace that we are back in advanced talks with Maddison. Burnley recalling forward Nakhi Wells and are willing to let him go. Not one we’ve been strongly linked with, but it is silly season so let’s throw him in there as well
you never know
Rich Cawley reckons we might be close to bringing in Norwich City forward, 18 year old Adam Idah on loan. He scored a hat trick against Preston in the 3rd round of the FA Cup
Player rumoured to have been training with the squad this week, free agent Florentin Pogba, brother of Man Utd’s Paul. A central defender, last club Atlanta in the MLS
tweets appear that say we were in for a loan move for West Ham central defender Winston Reid, but apparently, he wants to stay and fight for his under David Moyes, sewing himself as an option.
Adam Idah doesn’t start in Norwich’s FA Cup win up at Burnley, further fuelling speculation he may be joining us on loan. And, a surprise tweet in that we are linked with very highly rated Spurs forward, Troy Parrott. Only 17, but much talked about
Hopefully we’ll see a few things happen this week.
I’ve not been neglecting my duties (I hope), but very little to add.
London News Online does a round up article, covering a number of names already mentioned, such as Troy Parrott, Pedro Chirrivella, Adam Idah and Pogba.
There was also a tweet I saw indicating Spurs are willing to let Parrott go, but both us and QPR were clubs mentioned.
squeaky bum time for those of us that are keen to see a few new faces in, which is probably all of us. Fingers crossed Southall will land a couple
Tweet from a Watford supporters account saying we are working on a loan deal for midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru, who they signed from Man City in the summer. Youngster, started and scored in their FA Cup tie at Tranmere
Bristol Post, London News Online both reporting an official bid from us of £1m plus add ons, has been made for Jonson Clarke Harris, the Bristol Rovers forward. The Bristol Post article states that Rovers may be looking for players on loan from us as well.
Beaten to it by another mod on the main thread but apparently Greg Docherty the Rangers midfielder will be joining on loan today.
ffs - choose tonight of all nights to go out and Matt Southall tweets a picture of a load energy drinks, snacks and sugar to indicate they are working through the night to bring transfers in, also comments on Charlton Live implying signings are pending
Not sure how Lyle Taylor leaving is looking
Aiden McGeady confirms a loan move for the remainder of this season from Sunderland. Bowyer is a big admirer of the midfielder, and he has a lot of experience. We have 1 loan space left in the squad
16 hours and 7 minutes left of the window
one of the transfer twitter accounts saying we are working on bringing in up to 3 players today, one of which we tried to sign in the summer, but there is a long way to go. Cawley also saying we’re hopeful of bringing in 2 more, but hopeful.
